On a J flight two weeks ago with us in 2A and 2C, my wife asked for the vegetarian option, which luckily was still available.
The CM told us to mention that you are vegetarian when PDBs are served and the CM will put a vegetarian option aside for you.

I'm glad mine was saucier otherwise it would have been quite dry?
It’s the same dish as the mustard chicken that was doing the rounds for a couple of years. Identical treatment of the protein (shape and texture of the pieces), but different sauce.

It was usually fine, never dry.
 
Flew VA882 from SYD to MEL. Choices were chicken in black bean sauce or cheese tortellini. Went for the chicken. Beverage was Katnook Estate Founder's Block chardonnay. Top notch service from cabin manager David.

i wonder if you were the highest status passenger? or if some CMs are still doing the ‘oh we should mix up the ordering order to give lower status pax a choice’ routine?
