Vinomofo Wine Deals

There are definitely some amazing buys out there. I was at the Good Food and Wine show the other day and the sentiment is bad… really bad. A lot of the wineries were saying they would probably need to sell in the next 2-5 years.

First Covid, then tariff issues and more recently GenZs not drinking wine as their predecessors do (more health and fitness conscious). With Baby Boomers slowly phasing out of the market with their strong wine purchasing power, Aus Wineries are indeed in a world of pain. Forced to sell out (overseas ownership, local CW wines, etc), especially those focussed on Shiraz. There’s such a glut on SA Shiraz and big players can do the crazy price cutting now to weather through.

Some winemakers were asking how to get the next Gen to drink wine? It's the million dollar question as they all love the wine industry - doing it for generations.

Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this...
How to get the next Gen to drink more wine??? or other thoughts to help alleviate the Aus wine demand problem and protect our wineries from selling out / going under.

My thoughts on this and sorry to be blunt - if the next gens prefer to drink cats piss - let it be and we can enjoy $40 Stonewell ! Selfish I know.. but there is a fable about a horse and water...

Same same!

Wine is like a lot of things these days. You have high end and bottom of the barrel junk and nothing in between.
