Had a 2003 Clarendon Hills Blewitt Springs Grenache the other night. It was great and could easily go another 10 years. Cork was fine.
I think their Grenache is the pick. I can’t remember if I had 2003, but yes 2009 and 2010 recently. A few years back I got 6 for $54, then they went to $15, then $20, which is my limit.

PS St Henri link no longer working.

Do you generally match it with fairly young Grenache? The 2005 is full of tertiary characteristics, leather, tobacco, Christmas cake, baked spices. It might go well or it might not, everyone's tastes are different.
I'm very happy to go with your advice. I've never had a Grenache of such an age.

I've actually found that white grenache is excellent with chicken based Indian curries, including spicy ones. Apologies for hijacking a red thread with heretical talk about whites 😁😁
If it's a red thread then I missed that stipulation, but red certainly dominates the conversation. Have bought heaps of very good whites from VM : my wife doesn't touch red & I'll happily drink either.
