Vinomofo Wine Deals

I tried to use ChatGPT to work out what this wine is, given it's obviously the Austin's Wines 6ft6 Pinot Noir 2023. It had no clue at all, first suggesting a 2024 Pinot Noir from Toolangi (wrong region, wrong year, wrong price), then a 2024 Shadowfax Geelong Pinot Noir (wrong year, wrong price), then a Beyond the Wilderness Pinot Noir 2024 (wrong region, wrong year).

An interesting experiment, but it's impressively useless for this at the moment.

I managed to get it close to Austin’s 6ft6 2024?
It narrowed it down between Scotchmans Hill Swan Bay Pinot and Austin’s 6ft6.

Amex deal = Spend 299 and get 70 back on the platinum card, need to activate the offer in your Amex app.

Thanks for the insight Redbigot!

Thoughts on the best two options out of the below when it comes to quality / value for $ disregarding the inflated RRPs?

I think everything ably identified except I didn't notice 58487? Glen Eldon 2023 Twisted Trunk Reserve. Another big wine in your long list of big wines! I've seen reference to Amex deals several times, perhaps it's time to once again get Amex...

Twisted Trunk 2023 is $40 at Winestar (Mystery wine).

Good afternoon, mo fos. Any recommendations for "The Release" sale? Sad to see I've missed Curly Flat. Serves me rightly for a tardy rise. The floorboards are a bit creeky upstairs today after a few long raises of a stiff elbow last night.... (Never again!) 🤣

There is Penfolds Bin 389 2022 for $89 which I think is fully priced, here is hoping for a late $20 coupon!

Hmmmm, some great food for thought - or drink for think... 🤣 And if you don't mind, I think I'll perch beside you there and wait optimistically for a coupon code. By the way, what is the name of your broker, if you don't mind me asking? I had my own personal broker once upon a time but we've since grown apart... Would you recommend your wine broker to a weary-headed fellow mo fo?

Drop me a DM and I will share her email. I am sure she wouldn't mind. I would recommend as more information is always better but there is a lot of cough to go thru before you find your golden nugget. So patience and a fine tooth comb are required

Hi ThatWineGuy. Leaving Release Sale aside, but if you're interested in good reds. I recently bought a dozen each of Sorby Adams Parish Hall St Hugh's & St Boniface 2021. $16.50/bottle from memory. Sorby sells them @ $60 a pop, which itself is not unreasonable given how well they are made. We've now tried one of each. Already drinking very well. Bargain in my not so humble opinion.Just let them breathe well first.

Durif 2022 - Black Market Deal #57155

Must admit I sent my sixer back, found it a bit underwhelming but as always YMMV...

Is it just me or have the avatars become freakishly large of late?

A hearty Durif would have bolstered your constititution down in beautiful yet cold Tassie. A shame, but you at least Veni Vidied and Vamoused the five remaining rascals back to the Fo. Such a great policy as we all know. I must say I bought myself a 6 er as a New Years Present. Twas the Barossan 2022 Sheeraza , I wanted something a little bit newer and although the RRP was allegedly $45, I think it hit the scales or hit my credit card after being shot by two time Oscar winner Tom Hanks. He won both back to back, amazing. Ben Murray Wines read to my like a love letter enticing me and seducing me with such temptation that I could not resist. My puckered lips have yet to savour the flavour but I hope I will not be be jilted and my experience reminiscent of so many Tinder temptresses that went terribly wrong. For those who ask, no I have never availled my self. Tinder to me is something that I stoke my fireplace with and i know there's a gag in there somewhere but my wife would desert me faster than Billy Browlesses' wife, fair dinkum. Of to Olivigna for the brother in laws family soiree. He's payin' , we're stayin'. Cheap day out , well sorta, his pressie wasn't cheap. I hope WandD that something else piques your enthusisam. Another setback, hec life is so like that but That Wine Guy has the right idea. Keep drinkin !

Ahhh BF you've lost none of your bonhomie, chutzpah and savoir faire, as my dear old mum would say I'm starved for the sight of you Joe Pass by Khezelik on Apple Music that's my eldest on the beats, as a certain Mr Gunston would say "truly ruly". At least the 2022 Shiraz may have lifted the scales from thine eyes, if not the baker's thumb from your Salter's. I have cultivated a flavour-saver underneath my own puckered bottom lip, nothing as gauche as Ray Charle's own iteration but it suffices. As far as Tinder goes the tinder is dry but the match is unlit in oh so many ways. A bit like my 'Fo buying achievements, up and down like a wh*re's drawers. Mostly they still deliver (VM) occasionally down by the letterbox and sometimes outside my workshop but once in a lifetime (knew you'd get the allusion) right to my very door, keep clean but dirty just like DBC Pierre...

For those who wish to take advantage of the AmEx deal but can't see attractive current VM wine offers, consider purchasing $300 in small denomination VM gift cards for future use.
