Vinomofo Wine Deals

Which one is that? $104 FOR PINOT 17

NVM - found it. The reviews by the Wine Orbit on quite a few of them did put me off.

With CLOCK coupon it was $30.85 per bottle shipped. Still didn't get me over the line.
There's some interesting wines on the list though. Very keen to push a few wines with high points/$ ratio too ("50 points per $ is very good value!" - her words). She said to email early in the month to see what's on special.

Edit: clarify whose opinion regarding points value

I work on the assumption of 1.2 - 1.3c per one QFF point for valuation purposes.

Now now boys, play nicely. While I agree there have been lots of bargains around, they may not be all to everyone's tastes. I'm not a big lover of McLaren Vale or Barossa, where a lot of the bargains have been, and the joke RRPs and invented wines are just sad. Still I have managed to find some ripper prices on styles I do like for sure 👍

Hey, Rug, let's keep it amiable here. We're not on HotCopper to bag each other. I think it was a very reasonable question from Kristian. They may not have your experience, but they might appreciate your advice.
I was just trying to find out by what he means by pricey. There have been numerous bargains down to $10 per bottle. Not being nasty.

All good, Rug. I hope we are here to help each other! Still, we need to acknowledge those of us (me included) who need a bit of advice and the lessons of experience every now and again.

It's all much more than it was in the early days of these threads, but what else hasn't gone up in price? I'm finding that most of the wine that I'm happy to drink is now over $20 a bottle, whereas it used to be $10. What's making things tough these days is all the (made for China?) overinflated RRP's, usually then included in a bundle to make things look good. And the flood of new labels that are coming from select few small number of suppliers.

That said, 15 year old magnums of Clarendon Hills for $30 ain't bad buying :)

I thought the 15 year old magnums were $45 but that aside I agree
