I haven’t had Bos, but I had various vintages of RSR that I believe is comparable to Bos in terms of quality. Having had Empyrean 2010 I can confidently say that it is on a different level to RSR/Bos

Is the Emperyean worth the extra over the Bos?

I think it depends how you like your Cab.
I find the empyrean is slightly thicker, sweeter (almost Shiraz-like). We did a blind tasted and taught it was Shiraz.

I personally really enjoyed Empyrean.
I also really enjoyed RSR - this is more Cab like. Still good quality.

In comparison to Bos, you can prob taste the difference between the 3.
Bos --> RSR --> Empyrean (best).

Good question. I should have mentioned the first time I tried Empyrean was the 2008.
Then I topped up with 2014.
