I haven't tried 2020, but had 2019 and thought it was very good. I left a review somewhere in this thread. However I would probably give the preference to Old Faithful 2018 if it is still available.
Thanks, I remembered there were some good reviews for The Lear.

As a non-buyer, this sharktooth banter has been a real page-turner I must say. Multiple camps, passion, advocates and dissenters, lovers and leavers. The lot.

Such fun. It really does pay to belong here.

I daresay we haven't had such fun and controversy since the great cleanskin 'is it the signature' fiasco of '21. This might even surpass it...
Maybe someone who still has some Cantiniere can open one up and let us know how well it aged?

I wonder what Luke is up to these days….

Ratting around in the store room to fish out the Xmas tree, I saw a " Menu wine breather by Norm " on the shelf.
I have never used it but perhaps the 2015c Sharktooth might appreciate the treatment.
Otoh , not sure I can be bothered with all the stuffing around.. which is probably why it was where it was….
Anyone used one ?

I have one of those decanters and use it regularly but I remove the rubber plug and pour the wine in slowly so I can tip out the sediment. I'm not an expert but I've always had my doubts about those tools that "agitate" the wine excessively and whether they do anything more than a normal decanter.

If I ever get my Sharktooth (11 days since I placed the order and Auspost haven't picked it up yet) I will test it on half a bottle and see if there is any noticeable difference.

Thought it sold out?
You might be buying @Whining&dining sloppy seconds
Rather you than me ;)
Well. I've finished my serafino. I opened it early on Wednesday and poured myself a glass. Another big glass on Thursday. And the last glass today on Saturday.

Day 1: I'd describe this as extremely acidic, similar to those types of "green" wines that had their grapes picked too early, and you get that punch of acidity in the wine. Then followed by just alcohol. Just tasted like alcohol for a good 5 seconds?. Then afterwards.. maybe 15 or 20 seconds later, there was some fruit left over on the tongue.. as in.. I can tell that this came from grapes but barely? Just very little fruit presence.

Day 2: was really excited to try it again after the acidity died down hopefully, was hoping some fruit would show as well. Well, the acidity did relax a bit, but still very present and alcohol very notable. Fruits didn't open any further.. just a lingering taste on the tongue afterwards.

Day 4: again, acidity did die down a good amount.. alcohol even less present this time. But fruit never really came out, it shows most at the mid to end palate, and is more of a fine/light show of fruit. No complexity or depth however which I feel is the biggest let down as the wine more or less just tasted flat without a peak and a follow up, just more of a " flat and light " kind of flavour profile.
Maybe it's just the 2016 or maybe it's just bottle variation but your experiences, having read them, pretty much mirror mine, I really wanted to like this one (the wine)...

Shiraz 2019 – Black Friday Deal #46479

Sorby Adams The Reverend Canon Shiraz 2019

$16.90 with free shipping.... thoughts? Also any discount codes still floating around? :)
Hard to believe that's its their 'best selling Barossa shiraz'.

I had the 2016 last night. This isn't a $70 wine, but under $20 is fair value. It will easily go another 10 years.

Tempting. How much 15000 Qantas points worth normally? Looks like I have nowhere to use with those surplus points.....
They are frequently trading on the grey market. I would say that 2 way market is 1c/1.2c - last print 1.1c per point last I checked. Incidentally you can get a case of Reschke RSR 2016 6 pack for 15000 points in their current sale
