I ended up getting the Zinfandel just for a bit of variety - even though I got some of the Wente for $5 from VC last week.
Ditto. I did have a bottle of Wente. It’s ok, pleasant enough but somewhat lacking in body and finish. Here is hoping that King Valley Zin is upto scratch.
nice! was umming and ahhing about the RSR but $12.50 a bottle makes it easy!
Haha - I think your math is a bit off, but it is still cheap.

Can you please share the link to the RSR - was going to get another case of 'The Blend' but it sold out as I was checking out last night and couldn't find anything else. Keen to try the RSR and the voucher will get me there. Thanks!

It's in my post above (the bit in brackets). $14.17pb btw - $85 / 6 ;)

Haha I bought and posted within minutes on the mobile on the train this morning, and had dropped $10 off the price in my head, so you are correct indeed. $14.17 a bottle it is.

Also a great steal on the $50 off code is the Starward Nova - already well priced compared to other places at $84.90. Not a whisky that will blow your mind but well priced for a local, and at $34.90 shipped is a solid deal.

EDIT: now sold out, given their warehouse is a block from Starward I'd suggest not a stock issue but them pulling it after a few sales that no doubt cost them a few dollars a bottle in losses!

I had purchased this Whisky before on a member's recommendation. I thought it was excellent so I purchased it again. And 2 cases of wine. Why do I now feel FOMO???

Its a really good easy drinking Whisky, especially for folks who aren't week in week out whisky drinkers and not into the peaty stuff. For me though, it's not quite as complex as my go to favs (mostly Islay). Definitely at $85 there is value there, especially as almost every Whisky from Scotland that was decent in that $75-$90 bracket now sells for $100-120 as of the last 2 years.

I actually got married in their distillery, so always nice to grab a bottle for sentimental reasons too!

I find Starward undrinkable
