Vinomofo Wine Deals

Whatever you do when ordering from VM, DEMAND they use the Au Post and not their courier service HDS.

My wine was left sitting outside of my house on the public street next to the kerb and under the sun. These HDS folks lack the most basic common sense to handle the wine like that.
Yeah, some chatter about HDS issues over at my place too. One story indicated in Sth Aus they changed back to Aus Post and issued vouchers as an apology.
My personal experience has been good though, with deliveries from VM, Grays and GWD/Boozebud all via HDS recently. At least they ring the doorbell when they place the wine on my front porch, more than Aramex/Fast-away do. Most of the deliveries have been in refrigerated vans, some not.
Like any courier organisation it depends a lot on the local franchisee/contract drivers. I had years of issues with local Fastway franchisees/drivers, but those mostly went away when the pandemic delivery default mode moved to dump, photo and run, doorbell optional.

Didn't know there was such a thing (Nick Haselgrove Wines) quite a classy presentation but a bit rich for my blood. I still think that the Tusail was a very pleasant drop especially at the buy-in price, I've had others from the Haselgrove range like the Catkin and Cul-Stor which were ok but overall there are other producers I would throw my hard-earned dosh at...
Hmm, I just returned a Haselgrove, wondering whether to give the Tusail a try with my credit.

Be careful. The scores in Hallidays Wine Companion are all over the place depending on name and vintage for Haselgrove. Drop your thoughts before booming for a points from HWC.

Someone seems to have updated the VM Uncovered site, no longer accepting inputs from my mobile?

I thought it was a good, solid drop, dense and fruit forward but YMMV...
