Vinomofo Wine Deals

I can confirm the deliveries are refrigerated, went to the front door to check whether they had been delivered yet, carried the carton down to the cellar and the bottom of the carton parted company with this as the result:

The carton was obviously sitting in wet conditions (or a lot of condensation):

Vinomofo have offered a carton or Pirramimma to replace them even though a higher-priced drop and put $20 on my credit, hopefully they'll be having a chat to HDS about the situation (although TBH the carton appears to be same vintage as wine i.e. 10 years old)

The invoice said 2013 Bull Trader but point taken, was this one of the VM wines where the authenticity of vintage was disputed? (failing braincells, I blame it on shiraz)...

Yep that's the one :p

I actually like the Bull Trader though.

The RSR is the one that gets me, had a bottle of the 2012 the other night and if you'd told me it was a 2021 I would've believed you.

Always carry from the bottom :)

Slightly off-topic, but for those who want to see what Vinomofo stores about us (it's in the public domain, none of this "dark web" nonsense): AU Vinomofo 700k+ users and etc 17 gb | BreachForums

Testing platform, hey? Hmm. This was the site where the Optus data was attempted to be sold.
Thank you for sharing. This is very concerning especially when the data was just marked as sold

My experience was also that the carton was damp due to the condensation - the boxes definitely need to be handled with care as a result. I'm not sure that if they have been left outside for any period, that a bottom lift would still be enough - the cardboard goes soft very quickly (maybe the refrigerated van itself generates a lot of moisture as the door is opened for deliveries and this weakens the box further).

So do VM actually have to answer to anyone regarding this?

Or is it just "too bad, too sad customers".
Given that they refused to say the number of customers impacted, which I personally think is unacceptable, they appear to be doing everything they can to sweep this under the carpet. The media is more focused on MyDeal & Medibank due to larger size/impact.

Apologies for multi-posting but I keep seeing more stuff to respond to; put it this way a strong aroma of Christmas pudding hit me in the face at the moment of impact and lingered in the air for quite a while, it smelt pretty stupendous whatever the vintage might be!

What vintage does the surviving bottle say?

Looks like my lounge room after a big soiree.

Did any of you have a look at the data? It appears to be sorted by joining date, pretty sure the first two entries are the personal details of the founders…
I think you're right #2 Justin Dry would be a helluva coincidence?
Torpedoes my theory that compulsorily incorporating CEO data in sets would ipso facto improve security.🙃
I also notice entry "Not drinking any more" which implies they're hanging onto data after no contact desired response (though they're not alone in that)

We could ring them and ask what they think of the whole thing and what they are doing to improve going forward…
