Yeah I did look at that, the blurb on the 2008 matches about being produced for family and friends. But the price of $36…. Even that would be a bit of a stretch for those mof_’s to claim $70.

It isn't. It was. Maybe. And not 2010. Who knows. RSR was meant to be sold to members only before CW wines got their mitts on it.

This website had been defunct for a while now and RSR was offered to members only, so it is of purely academic interest.

Presently CW is the new owner of the Reschke business as the Reschke family was engulfed in a bitter internal feud. CW currently officially sells it for $75.


Which we all know is a bit of a BS model. I see that they have some of the older Reschke museum stock made my talented Peter Douglas (ex Wynns).

He is long gone from the business so these would be the last stocks made by him. The true value probably lies somewhere in between.

I nearly got excited with the 2010 but alas, I will leave it to others. What is interesting were all the variations of Reschke Cabernets in the 2010 vintage, which was good. Wines valued at $120 together with others at $20, like the Vitulus. Chuck in the Bos, this RSR and others too. This shows a few things. Firstly the ability of a grower to market his products in many areas. Let's be honest, who would not like to put out a bottle of wine, costing five to seven bucks at the maximum at $120 instead of $20. Secondly it shows that there is an abundance of grapes available to be able to do that as they would be a lot of farting around with fermentation, barrels, age of oak and all that jazz. You see the beauty here in post picking 'manipulation' or 'treatment' options. But we as consumers can taste it so easily. Yes we do inhabit different taste worlds, but good is good. It's as simple as that. Whether its a nine bucker from the mafia or an eight hundred bucker from North Barossa.

I agree on the Freycinet Louis being the best match, although it is $40 direct from the winery, the Halliday review lists it at $45.
