Vinomofo Wine Deals

Did you see the Old Plains Power of One Shiraz 2016? Quite oaky, needs more cellaring and/or air time, but might suit you.

There have actually been a lot of new deals on VM that are worth a second look, although a lot of them not full bodied shiraz...
Thanks mate I'll check that out.

I've struggled with finding any amazing deals on Vinomofo for a while. Maybe it got too popular and its just average now? Even the wines I have purchased previously have just been ok. Anything decent seems to be at a higher RRP than the shops like this: Torbreck The Struie 2018 - I'm a shiraz drinker, love my rich full bodied shiraz.

Here here. I've just received a promo for $15 off my next order and free shipping. I can't actually find anything worth purchasing, even with that. There's some vin jaune that they're claiming a RRP of $200 down to $120 per bottle. The $120 is more like a reasonable starting price. I'd give it a punt, not in a six pack.

I'm looking for a case of red. Does anyone have an idea about these?

(Apologies in advance if it's already been answered - I spent a while searching, here and elsewhere, and didn't find anything.)

You pick the tough ones, I haven't found a confident match for any of those, even with the Sam Kim score there are no great matches and I don't have access to Winestate. My best guess for 32663 is Haselgrove Bella Vigna, but the 2018 only scored 94 from Sam Kim.

I couldn't help myself just boomed, sounds right up my big-wine-drinking alley😋

It’s a great drop, big, rich, and lovely integrated oak. Some are saying that the oak is overpowering and dominant. In my view it’s a well balanced & delicious drop, especially for the price👌🏻😋3 cases ordered and delivered. Dom Torzi is an excellent winemaker.

I decided to take a punt on the Black Market Deal #34692. It arrived today: it's the Beklyn Currency Creek Shiraz 2018.

I have just received a dozen of the black market deal 34741 rrp$40 on sale at $12.50. Sam Kim 95 pts. Its a CW brand 2017 barossa shiraz and apparently a cancelled export order. Vinomofo says its the same as the previously advertised black market deal 32450 which was identified as "Hollows". I am hoping it lives up to the Vinomofo hype......

Just tried the Black Market 34741 Barossa Shiraz. Probabably should have left it to settle for a few more days as it just arrived this morning. I'm not into describing wines as " hints of blackberries with overtones of hazelnut shavings with probable undercurrents of dried grasshoppers" so having said that I do like a good solid shiraz which you can easily tell is good or poor. This wine delivers the goods. Nice and smooth and easy to drink- Would stand up well at a dinner party. Not sure about the $40rrp but would be happy to go to around $25.Suspect it will cellar well for another 5-6 years at least. Overall I think a goodbuy @ $12.50 from Vinomofo and I would give it an 8/10 for my shiraz based palate......Hope this is some help to those thinking about it.

Pretty confident it is St Johns Brook reserve

Just arrived, is St. John’s

Has anyone worked this one out? Hungerford Hill perhaps?

Margan White Label is the best match I can see, HH 2017 Semillons 93 JH points.

Any good? I can't find many reviews online.

I opened up a bottle last night. My vocabulary for wine isn't very refined, but I can say this: I'm planning to order a second case.

It smells good, and it tastes good. I gave it a spin in the decanter, which I think it needed to open up, but once I did that it was enormously pleasing. The label says "finishing with fine velvety tannins" - I'm sure there should be a comma in there, but it sounds right to me otherwise.
