Too late - all gone
Anyone tried the Allegiance Unity 2014 shiraz?

Twenty shiraz wines in four price brackets - The Key Report

Allegiance Wines ‘Unity’ Barossa Valley Shiraz 2014: Intense sums it up, but to start at the beginning. The nose is incredible it’s all things nice not sugar but spicy fruit cake on the palate it goes forever deep, deep flavour curling and griping python like to all pleasure points and slowly squeezing all that can be squeezed out of each one. 98 points $100 is high but if the wallet allows than buy it.

Boy this is such a smooth and stylish example of Barossa shiraz. Lush and opulent with dark syrup shiraz loaded with liquir and dark plum with a decent hit of toasty oak. So dense and concentrated with great power with such elegance and refinement. Cellar: 15 years.

Serious intensity here. Dark berries, chocolate, black cherries. Leather notes. Fine tannins and impressive length. There is a reasonably high level of oak here – possibly more than some will enjoy, but others will love it. possibly a smidge over the top for me, but it is integrating well and will only get more and more exciting.Score: 94/100Best drinking: many years. 15 years and then have a review. Alc: 14.5%

It is the Maverick Greenock Rise, listed as under screwcap, but probably under cork.
VM have had heaps of Maverick wines the last couple of years.
Maverick was in financial difficulty and was for sale, but seems to be now continuing with the same winemaker/owners, so maybe have renewed their relationship with VM by the usual "high winery price low VM price" model. Their RRP/winery prices have always been high though.

Hi redbigot you are correct on both. It is Maverick Greenock Rise single estate and IT is under CORK. Cheers Rug:)
