Vinomofo Wine Deals

Thanks Red.

Has anyone tried the other Grenache on VM at the moment - seems to be the
Curtis Family Vineyards Limited Series McLaren Vale Grenache. Thanks

I boomed on this fearing the worst, knowing that I could return it if I didn't like it.
I had one glass, tipped the rest of the bottle down the sink and returned the remaining five.

Can't see the appeal. I found it overtly sour, thin and unbalanced.

My have been a bad bottle but wasn't willing to find out.

There’s lots of six packs - most of their stuff is in sixes. It seems the minimum case price has to be $100 before they offer it in sixes though. I guess there’s just not enough margin to bother selling $9/bottles in sixes.
Mind you Cellar One are quite happy to offer their entire range in six-packs with some wines as cheap as $38 (that's for six!) but many in the $60-70 bracket, just sayin'....

And Cellar One is a ‘Family and Friends’ website, where the wines are supplied by their own labels - no wholesaler I assume. Different business model.

Point taken AC, I guess what I find fascinating is that they are quite happy to market (and ship for free) their entire range in 6-packs thus allowing the punter to order as many different 1/2 cases as they like in order to mitigate the potential for being landed with a dozen bottles of something they've not tasted and eventually return.

What is Cellar One’s return policy? Is it a case, pardon the pun, that no question asked free return equals a bigger investment?

$50? Wouldn't mind a heads up on that.

I don't think you'll find $50 common.

Since I started using CellarTracker ~5 years ago, I've bought 45 bottles of Meshach, at an average cost of $66. $50 is possible, but not common. $65-70 is a far more common 'good deal', and I've paid up to ~$80 for the better vintages.

The 2012 got pretty poor reviews on the Wine Front, so I'm avoiding this until someone I trust has reviewed/tasted it.
