Vinomofo Wine Deals

Are you new here?

People here rave about the Amelia range of wines.

Lol. To be fair most of the commentary is on the cabernet merlot (no longer available). I can vouch for the shiraz being well worth $10. All comes down to personal taste of course.

To the person asking about the MSV SGM, yes "The Barossa" springs to mind. Not many 2010s on WineDirect so should be easy to spot (including the secret deal).

Amelia has arrived in time to restock my 'quaffing wine' collection. :D
Now for a good pinot noir deal.

A lot of excitement regarding the Amelia Park..Export Label
but all I have heard is that its worth the $10?
But is it a good wine...is the RRP of $30 justified?
Surely we are not mistaking ourselves by putting price before quality?

Yes its a good wine now (after a good decant, will be better in a few years). Yes it is worth $30 (Huon Hookes value rating for similar wine is over $40), and a steal at $10.

Just had my first bottle (AP Shiraz) last night. I'm not a wine connoisseur but I was happy with it for under $10. Still will be giving the rest of the bottle a better decant tonight, as it didn't do anything to wow me - most likely not helped by having a bottle of Pertaringa 'Over The Top' 2015 earlier in the week which I found very nice.

I would never buy the AP Shiraz at RRP of $29, yet would consider (if needed) to buy the Pertaringa Over The Top at $40 (I paid $16 a bottle)

I didnt find the Pertaringa all that special, not as good as as the Amelia imo....but all palates are different! Hookey didnt go much on it at all in his review (I think I have a similar palate as HH). Each to their own.

Wow 96 and 88 points. Really shows tastes differ tremendously

I bought and tried the 2008 Fuddling Cup CS through Cracka a couple months back on a secret deal at $15/bottle before the $50 discount and free shipping. Bit acidic on first impressions but this disappears after a couple hrs. Smooth tannins as would be expected from a 9 yr old cabernet but lacks fruit flavour. I feel it's a couple years past its prime but Not bad for the ~$11/bottle with some food.

Never tried Fuddling, but the 07 and 09 are at this place for $89

Don't know if people are aware or if already posted, but code 'DRINKUP' giving $25 off purchases at the moment. That's if people are finding anything worth going for on VM...
