Vinomofo Wine Deals

Well mini2 that's been my experience too to be honest, a bit inconsistent and lackadaisical. I'm still waiting for the Little Berries to be picked up having called VM again on Monday to to put a rocket up the courier's a$#e, in this case it's Nexday's affiliated company Tasfreight but still....

Nexday are pretty hopeless with deliveries too...I am waiting on a case from them, they tired to deliver it on Monday to the Parcel Point, but said that nobody was there to drop it off...keep in mind it was 2pm and delivering to a large chain Chemist...reading between the lines, there was nowhere to park and the driver couldn't be bothered.

That bloody case of wine is still sitting out the front...my carefactor is now approaching 0%, I've told them I'm concerned that the wine has been (or will be) affected by temperature fluctuations but told me meh it'll be right.

I must be lucky I have had no problems with Nexday and the same driver delivers my Langtons wines as well. I would say its a driver issue. Credit where credit is due. It must be said I have mine delivered to a residential address with a stipulation if no one is home please leave at front door. The driver i get delivers up to 9pm and on weekends if necessary. Cheers

I'm very happy with my Nexday driver - always leaves in a spot out of the weather and has been easy to deal with for returns - can be a little slow to organise, but always comes on the agreed day

It is Galli Estate Lorenzo Shiraz.
VM had it late last year.

I have one of these in my salvation case...was going to open it tonight but decided being a weekday I would try something more quaffable with the Bayliss Road black label Shiraz....regret that decision now.

Well done there....the clarity of the sea air has done wonders. Can't say I know much about it though. I went looking back into the archives but this lead did not come up. What did come up was this

you pretty sure its the Gundagai Hungerford? obviously, but what hints?

Now you've got my interest. If you think this is better than the Fox Gordon Brothers & Sisters it must be a pretty nice wine indeed.

so two weeks ago I had the 2014 Hungerford Shiraz ..again....and it is simply divine. Medium to full, rich, oak in the background, great cherry and berry flavours but the killer is the integration and the moorishness of it. and it still is better that the Fox Gordon cabernet and this is one fine wine itself.

SHELMERDINE merindoc....dunno really but I just wanted to beat AC....I will have to try again I think. the merindoc is too cheap, but the 2012 or 13 was an absolute blinder of a wine.

Sigmadelta is right - it's the Galli Estate. Was up in 2015. Price seems to have increased by $5/bot

I'm in the process of organising the return of the Spy Valley Gewurz but I'm worried about a tardy pick-up. My mof_ Helper wrote, "If I pass your details on to our couriers they'll confirm a day with us and with you to collect the wine."

Those of you who have returned wines, do you find that the couriers do come for the box on the confirmed date? I'm in a unit block and I don't want to have to lug the box up and down the stairs for days on end.

I couldn't help myself. I ordered the salvation case...I look forward to the Mitolo Cantiniere and Little berries to see if they are as bad as everyone says.

If I end up with think outside the circle I'm going to be pissed!

FWIW my Salvation arrived last night (after two failed deliveries to a Parcel Point...) not unhappy with the mix:
2011 Thousand Candles (I actually liked the 2012, but have read the 11 isn't great)
2014 Ulithorne Unicus
Blue Pyrenees Red 2012
Bleasdale Shiraz 2012
Galli Estate Lorenzo Shiraz 2014
Gapstead Tabacco Rd Pinot Noir 2015
Prancing Horse Chardonnay 2010
Bayliss Rd Black Label Shiraz 2015 (drank last night, not great)
Ulithorne Famalia 2015
A riesling
Fox Gordon B&S Pinot Gris
Haslegrove Switch GSM

Better than the last Salvation case, and no Think Outside the Circle which is a win.

"Nasssty little berrieses, it must returns them to Mt Doom"
In other words - don't do it!
