Tomich Hill Winemakers Reserve 2013 Pinot Noir $45 on their website?

I think you are right.
Tomich Hill appear on VM before.

BTW can one be callled a MW before passing?
>> John Tomich - MW
>> His passion for the art and craft of wine making ....
and his thirst for greater knowledge has led to him currently undertaking the challenging Masters of Wine Course from the Institute of Masters of Wine in London.

I see there are 40 people watching this thread - seem like a lot of interest in the Pinot Noir...

Assume the Brand New is the wine, not the producer.
The only doubt I have is the 5 red star status

On the Tomich website John Tomich refers to himself as John Tomich - Master of Wine. Maybe he is confident about his exam results. Also, while Tomich are not a 5 red star winery (only 5 black) the email with the offer only has 5 black stars - so maybe a slip up from the graphics department when it got to the website.

Good pick-up.. (though wine companion has 4 black stars)
Maybe I overly critical in the hope it is the Shaw+Smith!
Either way, think there is a fair chance it will be a cracking value wine.
I think I will hop on the boat before it sells out.

It is not Shaw and Smith.
Probably Tomich Reserve as above.
VM very slack on the stars, Tomich Wines is only 4.5 stars in the new edition book and on the Wine Companion web site, was 5 black stars last year.

John Tomich not in the current list of Aus MW: http://www.mastersofwine.org/en/mee...fm/region/2ef1f4cb-8c38-e211-861a00155d6d822c

Everything matches to me. Including awards and critic scores. Interesting to see Halliday bumped up his score from 94 (reviewed in 2012) to 96 (reviewed this year), by interesting I mean it's a joke. Matches his score creeping trend :p

I have enough big bold reds in my cellar to pass on this one (and not cheap enough to make it a deal).

I took a case of the Black Market Pinot and a case of the Secret Deal Cabernet Blend. Not sure what the Cab is just taking it.
A work colleague placed the order which we are going to share.
