Vinomofo Wine Deals

how was the 6 foot 6?

they also had yering station (black market) around the same time which i bought, but missed last horizon and riorret (de bortoli) last year

6 foot 6 was a bargain, Yering Station 2010 was fabulous and I still have 3 bottles in the cellar, Last Horizon was also a beauty although not much of a discount from memory.

in the meantime, have you checked out any of the pinot noirs at My Wine Companion using MYAMEXWINES50 to save $50 if you spend $200 (code ends today)?

Thanks for that. The Watershed Senses Shiraz looks good at under $15 a bottle, thought it was a bargain for $20!

Not sure the Glenlofty Shiraz 2012 is for the long haul. I've just gone back to a bottle I opened on Friday night, and its all tea like tannins and not much else. I'd be recommending drink it now, drink it fresh.

I have just completed my Vivino review on the Glenlofty Shiraz 2012. I gave it a full 3 stars (out of 5 stars), and concluded:

Lovely flavours, especially the white pepper at the end of the medium length palate. Well balanced and structured, with good fruit flavours you would expect from a good Aussie Shiraz. Like others, I found it a bit green at the end of the palate. This is a good wine for the price. Highly recommended at its discounted price.

I think I was loving the price more than the wine for those first three glasses. It's a great wine for the mof_ price.

otherwise, hoddles creek is generally considered one of the best value around and often sells out within a few months

Great post. Not come across this site before. They have some good offers. Thanks for the great tips. Much appreciated.

Be sure to share with us your thoughts on these wines :)
Only have time to open a bottle of Shiraz & one bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon during last weekend. As others have reported, both wines are concentrated as other Fox Creek wines, structure is good, but the Shiraz is more approachable at this moment, my friends enjoy the Shiraz very much. For the Cabernet Sauvignon, bitterness of tannins keep reminding me that it will mature gratefully in medium cellar term. So I will start drinking the Shiraz and place the CS aside. But anyway, the RRP of $20+ is a fair deal for both wines.

For the Shiraz Cab Sau, will try one bottle this weekend.

Can anyone confirm what the 95 point Victorian Shiraz from $65 to $19.50 was on Friday?? Was it the Red Hill in the end?

you're a tough marker wozza.....

Probably. ;) Bringing it back on topic, how was the Fox & Hounds Shiraz 2013? (mine is expected to stay in its box for a while yet)

Maybe I am easily pleased, but I absolutely loved the 2013 Shiraz, the only variant I got. Lovely richness to it, great mouthfeel, not too sweet either, I could not find a fault with it. Oh yes I actually did, the bottle volume was too small. It was finished way too quickly. Yes, it's one of the best I've had in a few months..

Vinomofo deals look like they are up early today;
Glenlofty Cab Sav (repeat)
Fox Creek Shiraz Cab (repeat)
Adelaide Hills NV Sparkling (maybe repeat or new vintage, i've seen something similar before) - Chain of Ponds Diva??

It's now the choice of this or waiting to spend teh $100 referral on a case of a single pinot if it comes up...

Yes, I'm having a similar dilemma with the pinot pack.
Also the Glenlofty vs the Fox Creek? I would ideally like both but alas I must show constraint. My question, should I not let either one of these bargains slip through my fingers for a second time? Anyone got any opinions?

Anyone tried the Fox and Hounds Shiraz Cabernet blend? I missed out on all three so would like to get my hands on at least one of the Fox Creek wines.

Yeah, ditto - am about to pull the trigger on the Fox shiraz cab, but the angel on my shoulder is telling me not to... (or is it the other way round?)
