Vinomofo Wine Deals

Someone got 10 cases and another got 6 cases so something is going down here.

Yep. 'Dejan A. just bought 10 cases of this vino' & 'Mark S. just bought 10 cases of this vino'.

Having a party?

Although, as I've discussed in this thread previously, I've seen restaurants/wine bars buy product directly from VM to sell on site.

Since everyone is having a guess at the BM 2013 Shiraz, thought I'd give it a go. My guess is (and I'm not very good at guessing these wines mind you) ,The Kangarilla Rd 2013 Shiraz

Wirra Wirra Amator Shiraz maybe? Alcohol is right and price is off $1.

Unlikely. If Wirra Wirra is being truthful, neither of these suggest a match to VM's offering :

'The single vineyard shiraz is a very limited offering exclusive to our cellar door and online customers.'

Also:

'Drink 5 - 8 yrs'

'There are currently 49 users browsing this thread. (21 members and 28 guests)'

Seems there's a lot of interest in this new BM deal.

He's certainly not contributing anything of value here, I know that much. Put up or shut up please!

Wow, impatient, loose the hounds! I have a tacit agreement with VM not to post identifications outright on public forums. Knowing what it is not is educational as to what it might be. But, suitably chastised I'll slink back to my lair.

Latest VM offering called the 'The Ace Case' for $141.20

Note 'Please note, this product is on back order and will begin dispatching on Aug 24.'

So, given my recent experiences, I think this means you should expect a delivery time of +3 weeks from now.

Enough time to bundle any returns then. Heh heh :D

Wonder how many people got the wrong delivery?

If you think Peter's is bad, have you seen Riedel? Two wine glasses in a box, in another box, in a massive box full of stuffing that takes up the entire boot of a hatchback
Glad the deal was worth it; didn't partake as I have more than enough glasses...

Repeat of my info in post above, it is NOT Chapel Hill.

you telling me it's the opal oak?

What you're missing is this:

The Red Bigot Red Wine Buyers Guide

One might form the view that mr bigot is trolling for members.

if you form that view Ralphy, you are deluded.
Can't you see his post today, which is an infrequent post, is all about him giving a helping hand BUT not naming names. The newbies will suffer but the older ones enjoy a challenge. Not only that, it's the end of the week and the RB wants to have some fun. Chill and enjoy ....I have just opened the Glenlofty 2012 Shiraz................

Well liparj, I think it's damn good. What more do you want to know......let's go back to last December when I had the 2011 with my brother. Maybe I am easily amused but it blew my socks off then. The 2011 still does, although it's been many, many months since the last. VM does that to you. This 2012 has a very nice deep plum colour and a nose slightly weighted more towards the oak this time around. I think the 2011 had sweeter fruit and may have been a little more balanced, but this 2012 is still a stunner for under eight dollars. In fact , it is ridiculous vale. Here I diversify a little. Last Friday, I bought the 95 pointer Wolf Blass Red label 2013 that Winestar lauded. In fact, the show circuit gave it medals and JH may have given it 95. Cost me eight bucks for 24. The wolf is a lighter style surprisingly with the shiraz /cab blend..... thought it would have more balls. But it doesn't matter. My mate who I shared it with really really liked it for its simplicity, fruit, and freshness. About 6.5 on the body for me, a little light on for my palate, but it still had enough carry to satisfy. You could not say it was watery like a DeBortoli ten dollar pinot....silly me to have expected better from a ten buck pinot... I was however very impressed with that Wolf 2013. Back to the Glenlofty, second glass in and it does need an hour of decanting. Opening up incredibly nicely, fruit getting more rounded and the nose is still impressive. Great cherry aromas and flavours, and close to an eight for body. Quite impressive from my perspective . Not too tannic, and from memory neither was the 2011. This 2012 is very well made. Must try the SV again soon......ultimately, this 2012 is supurb. Value 10/10. Net quality - 8.5/10.

2012 Glenlofty Shiraz - excellent - check
