If WM is Wine Market, they are an offshoot of Cellarmasters / Woolworths, about as big as you can get, set up originally to move small quantity leftover batches, now just moving whatever they can.

I can't imagine they move the volume that VM moves, given the paucity of offerings and lack of advertising. DM sells similarly low priced stuff, and seems to have a far wider range and bigger advertising budget.

I am just watching a movie and having a predinner drink of Bayliss Rd Black label GSM 2013 when I remember someone mentioning the search option. This seemed to be the easiest segue into a quick reviews of this wine. It's very good, nice fruit, nice young berries and a medium to full flavour. Sweetish, well rounded, nicely balanced, slight tannins and a lovely long finish. It was part of a mixed black market purchase in jan15..as electrotek mentioned. I rate it very highly. Last night, I had the much more expensive GSM, the multi lauded, multi trophied Rosemount GSM McLaren Vale 2013. Beautiful coincidence, both GSM, both 2013,both McLaren vale. The comparison stops there. The much more expensive Rosemount is much drier, has less upfront aromas of fruit, but higher in pepper character, hints of cucumber - I kid you not, I love my imported Krakus cucumbers and this had one or two mixed in ! I am looking at all the gold medals - Rutherglen, Adelaide ,mclaren vale, dan murphys and thinking about a huge, huge discussion here recently about wine scoring points in wine judgements. It led me to re-assess why would the Rosemount cleaned up on the show circuit, including the odd trophy I believe, and no such adornments on the bayliss road. Of the two, my preference at this stage would be the Bayliss. However, the Rosemount is a great wine, and this is where it all gets individual. I believe my own DNA favours sweet over dry. Many friends of mine can't stand slightly sweeter semillons compared to the drier types. I found the Rosemount, incidentally my first bot of the 6 I bought, to have more finesse and I have no doubt I am drinking it too soon. In fact, both are being drunk too soon, but I'd rather it this way when both are good compared to screaming. It therefore seems to me that wine judges are into more complexity in their wine judgement and will judge accordingly in their classes that they have to preside over. look, it's a complex mine field as we all know. From my memory, the maverick gsm is towards the sweeter style that obviously suits MY palate. Bottom line, all three are good wines. I personally was expecting last night for the Rosemount to blow my socks off. It didn't, but it was still very good drinking, one that will benefit with a few years tucked away, but we all do inhabit different taste worlds don't we ! It should've been a question mark I know.
 
A bit disappointed, as I too have bought the Rosemount, expecting great things. Yet to crack a bottle, maybe I'll just let it lie a while...
am LOVING the Glenlofty Shiraz Viognier! Wonderful fragrant peppery hue to it :)

Let me just say flyinfish that we all have different tastes. Why should you be disappointed when you haven't even tried it. I don't mean to be tough, but I did say it was good. Maybe you and I desire the sweeter molecules and as AC described, it's the style....now, that leads me to the Churchview wines from west oz. Did anyone buy any ? I absolutely loved their gsm, I think it was their st johns range. before buying it, I shot of an email and got the most wonderful of replies describing how their winemaker wanted to make it a little different to the standard Australian style. Rhone was distinctly mentioned by the manager, and it is probably the case that the rosemount is a much drier style of gsm than the st hjohns was. nevertless flyinfish, they are all very good wines. To the chardonnay from churchview, absolutely remarkable and as one good mate that I shared a bot with, possibly the best chady he has ever had. Big statement, great wine none the less. Now for the Churchview piece de resistance, their late picked Riesling. I cannot believe that an eight per cent, late fermented Riesling could ever taste this good. dollar for dollar, this is the pick of the 3 I have bought, but they were an amazing triple treat....could be the cold, but I pulled out another..as you do....the landings cabernet sauvignon 2012...for a wine that has mixed reviews on the net, I loved it. Not an absolute stunner, but I would be more than happy to pay $22 for it.....as it is, about a twelve bucker from memory. Go Djokovic !
