Vinomofo Wine Deals

Just a thought.

Yesterday's unknown BlackMarket Hunter Valley shiraz sold out in no time.

Now today's VIM Old faithful shiraz is still very much available and only "under 100 cases" to sell.

Do you think it will sell much faster if its unknown and under Secret or BlackMarket? :?:

Was yesterday's open to everyone? Whilst today's is VIM only? I notice that today's is now "Almost gone"

You are right, yesterday's Hunter Valley deal was open to all while the Old Faithful is VIM only.
However the previous VIM Secret deal (Amelia Park) sold out very quickly.

Has to be the bleasdale P...i havent tried many of the Potts wines, but I do have a few Frank Potts bought in the last few months as case mixes from VM. I do really love Lake Breeze wines and have plenty, so the area is good. But this wine does raise a question to you in that if it were valued at $50, how many would have jumped straight in? The fact that the deal is 'only' a smaller saving, who is reticent? Who possibly appreciates the fact that it appears to be undervalued in the first place? Who has had some of the Potts product recently? Oh well, just a few musings about perception of value before i start dishing out the drugs. Off to the Wine Bank in Bendigo for lunch tomoz with my ALS suffering mate. Cheers.

What are the pointers that point you to Bleasdale Petrel Reserve?
I spend some time but leads nowhere?

You are spot on.
SA - Langhorne creek
ALC 14.5%
JH 94, Trophy etc
Malbec belnd

I just did a search on winecompanion with a few filters. Its a little harder for blends because they're not always labeled the same way.

For those that do like Bleasedale wines I've scored a few bargains from their clean skin/relabeled site. uncledickscellar.com.au Pretty easy to work out what they are and some good savings to be had. Not a lot on there at the moment but it does change from time to time.

Bleasdale Petrel Reserve?

Just received email from Winemarket about the latest
"Mystery Premium Langhorne Creek Shiraz Cabernet Malbec 2010 (6 bottles)" for $79.

Description looks like the Bleasdale Petrel. What a coincidence.
On checking this 2010 is for sale at Bleasdale.
So for those interested in Petrel take your pick 2010 or 2012.

Does anyone have any idea what the Coonawarra Cab might be?

Tough one with no scores to go on but they have been pushing the Lindemans lately so a guess would be the St George. Winemakers were pretty happy with the 2013 vintage for Coonawarra. I might take the punt.

I took the punt haven't seen too many cabs of late.
Cant see it being the St George at this price but wouldn't complain if it was.

Cheaper per bottle and don't need to buy 12 bottles = more attractive.

Parker 95 Block maybe? The 2013 is not on the Parker site but rrp matches, its a single vineyard and the alc % for the 2012 is close (14%)

+1
However Block 95 is special release and no mention of 2013 vintage.
This is going to be like the Hunter Valley shiraz without any definitive answer and lack of pointers.

Agreed. Don't think it's the St George either because that's usually rrp at $70 not $65.
I haven't had too much success with unrated wines so will give this one a miss.
