Vinomofo Wine Deals

hello...i also got the cellar release and find it to be quite nice, surprisingly full, the kind that gets fuller and fuller as each glass drops, but a very enjoyable classy wine. Way under a tenner for this wine is great buying indeed....

Which wine are you referring to? Is it still available?

and welcome!

Got a link? It's not showing on facebook for me.

How much and any good for us non Bookfacers please?

It has expired.

RRP: $240 ($20 per bottle)
Price: $99 ($8.25 per bottle)

Assuming it was the Schild, Their 2011 Shiraz was poor IMHO... 2011 was a bad year in the Barossa due to weather, and The Schild Shiraz was quite average.

2012 might be better, haven't tasted it.

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

keith...how can you go wrong with their return policy....to that end, if something reads like'medium to full, with a cherry fruit aroma, and ends up being watery with an olive nature, you can demand a refund. i havent done it with vinomof, but did it with graysonline and winemarket. cheers from a serious wine lover.

Would rather avoid having to faff around with returning in the first place.

don't you have one of their sales team calling you every week?

I don't anymore after I blasted them for trying to palm off their cough wine whilst holding back the good/much cheaper offering for VIM's.

I've reduced my wine buying from Vinomofo significantly in the last 3 to 4 months. There are others now who are just as cheap and seem to respect loyalty.

Schild Estate 2012 Shiraz

Thanks. I saw this on the mobile app. When I went to book it on my laptop (easier to type), I noticed an expired link which had a similar description but the "details" were slightly different - may have been a different one. Guess we'll wait and see how it tastes..

It got 94 points:
2012 Schild Estate Shiraz - Wine - LifeStyle FOOD
Then again, the 2009 Grange got 94 points FWIW...

For the price, I don't know if you could get much better than that..

That seems to be a bit harsh! Everyone appreciates a bargain and wants to get the best value for their money, including you, based on your previous quotes (I note one of your previous posts in reply a post of mine has now disappeared?!).

This is the whole reason Vinomofo is in business! A little narrowing of the odds in our favour by sharing info doesn't hurt!

I agree, Vinomofo is only one site I monitor for good deals and compare to. While yes, Grange is not on offer, many other very very good wines do come up from time to time and for prices that sometimes put Vinomofo in the shade. So those deals are out there sometimes and I for one don't see any issue with looking for them.
