Vinomofo Wine Deals

Yes, just bought a case of it as I was really impressed with it. Fantastic price for that quality of wine in my opinion.

I was going to buy the Trail Hill but with a score of 93 from JH, 89 from JO and an 83 by HH it scared me off. Glad to know you are enjoying it though!

Some of the blackmarket wines from the Trick or Treat sale

96pt Shiraz 2012 Victoria $38-$19.80 is the Greenstone Shiraz - Heathcote

Sangiovese 2012 Heathcote $35-$10.50 is Chalmers Sangiovese

91pt Pinot Noir, Adelaide Hills $35-$10.50 is Collato Pinot Noir

These arrived in my club case yesterday. Not tried them yet. Could have probably saved myself some cash buying them cheap in this sale.

The Peccavi Cab Sav has a rrp of $68 on their site, but it only lists it winning a bronze and a 89pt rating by Robert Parker. I know they had the Peccavi No Regrets recently, this better not be it!

Yeah that's it I think! They're a 3 times gold medalist and got 95pts from Jeremy Oliver for the cab 2010.

Yeah not sure what the Golds are but you would think they would put that on their website rather than saying 1 bronze and an 89pt rating. Huon Hooke also didn't go much on it which makes me a little nervous when two critics give it a low rating even if it did get a 95 by JO.

It scored 94 from James Halliday.

Don't think it's the Peccavi because that only scored 93 pts by Oliver according to the Wine Annual 2013 edition I have. Unless it got re-rated.
Any other ideas on the wine?

I think it is the Peccavi. Oliver scores it 95 now so has been re-rated.
I'm not a big Cab Sav fan so I'll pass but seems a reasonable buy.

(I can't post links....) but.
Peccavi is the one. 95 from Jeremy Oliver on his own blog/site. With a 94 from Halliday (not a special value rating) it's not a bad buy IMO.

One thing I noticed about the Peccavi is that the price is listed as $45 in my 2014 Wine Companion. Not sure when it made the jump to $68

... just have a case of Neagles Rock Clare Valley Shiraz 2012 delivered. Hope that it's good!

Finally opened a bottle of Neagles Rock Clare Valley Shiraz 2012 last night, fruity but a bit tight, should keep the remaining for a while.

Just a small heads up, for those who are a bit devo about not picking up the Moppity Lock & Key Shiraz 2013 on Vino, DifferentDrop are selling it for 10c more per bottle and you have the option of buying it in a 6 pack or singles rather than the dozen. $9 delivery. Looks a decent drop too.

I think VM over-talk Neagles Rock. Period.

I have a few bottles out of mixed cases. Will age them to take the edge off, but I am not convinced they are great... You may find them in the KK this year :p
