Vinomofo Wine Deals

Not much enthusiasm from my people, one thought it was fair value at the discounted price, one "Not bad enough to send back, but average enough to not want anymore"

That looks like a very silly wine. Anyone had it?
One of those wines that you are expecting a whole lot more from than it actually delivers, not "bad" but uninspiring especially considering the price point IMHO...

This occurs about once every 2 or 3 months. Stack with discounted Ebay gift cards to improve the savings.
Just remember - postage is added to the price of each & every case on eBay (no such thing as "free shipping") vs. flat or possibly free shipping on VM's site, and some items are not put on ebay (usually anything actually half decent).

Opened new Geoff Johnson Pirramimma last night - cracking wine! Exemplary McLaren Vale shiraz. it is more than a quaffer (as I thought originally) - it is a very well made wine. Very concentrated with massive dark fruit upfront quite spicy in a pleasant way, touch of vanilla and I think it is more poised and refined than their WarHorse shiraz that I also got last year.

Fully agree - to the point I have ordered another case. Says it can be cellared until 2036 - don't think its going to last that long and it gives me the impression of a drink now rather than better with age.

Any comments on this Reschke? Seems well priced for a cellared Coonawarra shiraz?
I have not tried this particular variety but have enjoyed other reds from this winery. In general Reschke are a decent brand with some good offerings. Note their Limestone Coast Riesling is a great value for money cheapie.

I've been very happy with the 04 and 10 RSR from these guys. Not had this one but reviews for the 2010 were pretty good so decided to take a punt.
