Vinomofo Wine Deals

No, I'm sorry I should have been clearer - I was interested if anyone had tried it. :) I'm quite a fan of fortified red, but I've not had a good one since Yarra Ridge (?) stopped making their fortified shiraz.

Wow it's been a while since I've been back here.
Anyone have any ideas on what the Secret Deal 2011 Barossa @ $10.15 is?

I reckon the 10.15 deal its Seppeltsfield Barossa Shiraz. Kellermeister is an option too but description fits Seppeltsfield better and they seem to have a good relationship with them.

Cellaring until only 2016. That's very poor.

Not really. Its a non-vintage fortified red. Its not going to improve with bottle age. Stored well, it won't get worse, but if you read what Halliday uses his dates for, then it makes perfect sense.

I'd expect any NV wine to last for at least 3 years. Hopefully 5. Not 1 year!

Has anyone tried the Seppelt Jaluka Chardonnay 2013 from Henty? I like the Drumborg riesling but haven't tried the chard.

I've not tried it, but has been on my mind to. Halliday's notes on it
Jaluka comes partly from the Drumborg Vineyard and from other vineyards in the very cool Henty region. Barrel-fermented in French oak, it is notably complex and mouthfilling, but doesn't lose focus, its plethora of fruit flavours anchored by natural acidity. 94 points
Sounds interesting to me.

Hi guys! Google brought me here, after I was curious what my Salvation XVI might contain.

I'm currently enjoying the Chaffey Bros 2009 Superbarossa Shiraz, and the Bellvale Pinot Noir 2010 was superb too.

There were some Glenlofty fillers, but overall a decent mix.

Welcome to AFF Abha93, I recommend you dig a bit deeper into this site as there is a wealth of info.

Does anyone know what the Black Market 2012 Chardy is? Think it has been featured a number of times before, after a decent quaffer Chardy.

I cracked a bottle of the 2012 Hassellgrove The Cruth last night which was a black market deal a week or two ago. Holy moly it was fantastic!!!
