Vinomofo Wine Deals

Rocket09 - I came up with the same wine and sounds pretty good so also bought a 6er.

Yeah pretty sure it is correct. Sounds like an interesting wine.

"This vineyard uniquely expresses its DNA and flavour profile and is different to any other Shiraz in the Barossa Valley or indeed the world.
From one mother vine Shiraz mixed in the Old Garden when that was planted in 1853, rather than harvest the fruit, we harvested the buds and grafted these on to existing 25 year-old and fully mature roots. We did this in 2008.
These buds grew into identical clones of the ancient Shiraz. So now we have a single vineyard, 0.8 Hectares in size, all from this one mother vine.
This Mother Vine Vineyard is planted alongside the winery in the appellation of Dorrien in Barossa Valley.

Through this process we have resurrected an ancient clone of pre-phylloxera Shiraz that is truly unique."

Hi there, anyone has an idea on today's VIM offer? Both the mof_ SECRET DEAL Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 from Margaret River and the mof_ SECRET DEAL Shiraz 2012 from McLaren Vale are attractive! :)

Margaret River 2010 - Maybe the Knee Deep Wines Kelsea's Reserve or Laurance of Margaret River Icon? Haven't had a chance to check the finer details.

Unfortunately not knee deep as not 5 red stars or Laurance - halliday points not the same. Will look into it more if I get any ideas.

Crafted by one of WA's finest, we really should be calling this estate grown Cabernet, an iconic secret deal. Awarded with three gold medals and an impressive 95 pts from Sir Halliday, it’s satisfying to know that we’re not the only ones who are making a big deal out of this brand new Cab, especially for half price.

No stone was left unturned with the making of this wine and the results speak for themselves. A near flawless example of what proper old-school Margies Cabernet should taste like, this premium drop sports a distinctive minty bouquet and a deep core of red and black fruits, alongside notes of cedar and olives. Matured in first-class and one year French oak barriques for 18 months, the quality is palpable with every sip illustrating perfectly integrated oak, a seamless palate and powerful tannins. A full bodied red that delivers with benchmark structure and poise, this has a solid core that’s just ripe for cellaring - one that will will develop and mature for the next decade and well beyond.

$45 direct from winery, $40 Australian wine companion. 5 star winery, Marg River 2010 cab sav.

I have no idea they have not given us enough tid bits to sleuth it out.

Am trying to work out what the $12 secret deal 2008 sparkling is today? Perhaps Yellowglen Perle? RRP $30...

Could be though the RRP seems a bit high. Alcohol % is correct. It'd be the white this time, previous lots have been the rose.
