Vinomofo Wine Deals

Thanks for your insights into the Andevine RD, it doesn't sound too seductive to me I'd have to say, I agree that the only advantage to a mixed case is being able to sample a wide range of wines without committing to a dozen (and then going through the pain of a return). I'm not a huge fan of cooler climate "greener" stalkier Shiraz and would rather something more voluptuous from the Barossa or McLaren Vale but that's my skewed palate talking:). Have you cracked the Mule yet and if so any thoughts on it?

Definately the Jaluka Chardonnay :) Will be a delicate and aromatic style I'd imagine.

Received it today and opened a bottle tonight. Very nice. Velvet to the mouth. My wife who is freaking out about the quantity of wines that I buy asked me to get 2 more cases... So, we have a winner and i'm now going back to the Fo to boom again if it is still there.

Not tried the Mule yet W&D. I'll give one of those a go over the weekend. I had the Gateway a while back and was a little bit 'meh' with it.

On a slightly different note does anyone have any idea what this is: BM Barossa Shiraz $90 -> $29.90?

Thanks RD, I've since heard from a very reliable source that the Gateway (McLaren Vale) wasn't quite up there with the Malakoff (Pyrenees) Mule so curious to hear you verdict, cheers W&D

Vinomofo - Black Market Shiraz 2012 - Red Wine

Looks like Grant Burge - anyone given it a try and know if it's worthwhile?

Agree with the above, it has to be Grant Burge Meshach, but even at the "reduced" price of $95 I would throw my hard-earned wine dollars at something a little less pricey (had a conversation with another of our esteemed members the other day and came to the same conclusion, there are amazing wines from Kay Bros and Warrabilla et al out there that are better value according to him and he should know:))

If not then there's always cellardoor.co with $25 credit available when joining :)

The Margaret River Chardonnay may be Howard Park Reserve 2016 Chardonnay. Listed on their website for 54$ RRP. Not 100% though.

I am also curious about the MR Chardonnay...
Hi All,
Suspect the MR Chardy is Churchview Bartondale.
Enjoyed previous vintage if you are into that big style. Had the acidity to back it up.

Cheers

Mule hasn't quite been the same since they separated from Giant Steps, the 2016 was ok for the Fo asking price but it isnt a $42 bottle anymore. That's my two pennies!

I boomed on the GB, split a case with the guys from work, I am a bit of a patriot to an old vine discount like that, and for me 2012 is too good a year not to try. Completely agree re Kay Bros, their Block 6 is up there with one of the Vale's best shiraz's in my humble opinion. Year in year out it is remarkably consistent and cellars wonderfully.
