Thanks all. Yep Haselgrove a definite contender - they have been pushing a lot of their stuff recently. I got a couple of the Protector Cab Sav in a mixed case - and very nice drop too! Not sure I will fork out for 12 of the Shiraz tho'.

I agree the VIM Shiraz looks like the Haselgrove Catkin McLaren Vale Shiraz. On top of everything penegal said, it has a trophy from China and marked as 'Special Value' by Halliday.

/edit: Haselgrove store is actually selling it at $40, so the Halliday price needs an update.

Also reckon if you going to have a month of self imposed no purchasing of wine you need to make it Feb as less days than any other.

Abels Tempest on special ($15) is a decent drop for the money. How is the 2012 Chardy? Have a few 2013 sitting here, the 2012 Pinot is pretty decent also.

I get "That coupon couldn't be found or isn't valid anymore". Email sent on Wednesday states "$25 credit for you, one week only". Can't see why this isn't still valid, and no, I've not already used the coupon code.

Had a 2012 AT Chardy about a month ago, and it was good then, but I think it will improve more in the next 2 to 5 years. I really like old chards (and rieslings too). Currently some 2004 Hunter Chards are the oldest I have. Bottled under stelvin so in perfect condition.
