Hi Rocket09; have had 2013;2015 and have drunk one bottle of 2016. At first it seems a little closed give it some air time and by the end of the first glass its opening up and has a lovely soft palate.with a dry finish. I see the 2017 has been released on Patricks website. Cheers Rug

2012 Barossa Shiraz up today (sorry, no link - on phone) $70>$26, Halliday 95pts. Wondering if its Maverick Greenock Rise, except VM may be playing fast and loose on the rrp (as a 'cellared wine') or the alc% (14% on their site vs 15.5% for the maverick). Thoughts?

FWIW I'm quite a big fan of the Handpicked stuff and have been impressed with everything I've bought from VM in their Collection range. The RRPs are a bit ambitious but they are the actual RRPs at least ;-). The discounted prices VM have had for their Chardonnays and Pinot have been decent IMHO.

Handpicked actually have an urban cellar door in Sydney near Central Station where you can taste any of their wines for a fee.

I'd boom on this Shiraz if I didn't already have enough Barossa 2012 Shiraz to sink an aircraft carrier.
