Vinomofo Wine Deals

Can someone take a bullet for the team and buy the rest of the Nua Prosecco and the Think Outside the Circle...

Because god knows its going to showup in every mixed case and salvation case until they can finically offload what they don't sell and what people return...

Much Love,
Mavis

Yes - they are the Hewitson Ms Harry, Ned and Henry and the Blue Pyrenees Cab Blend. I'm thinking a decent way to try all of these without buying 6 packs

Just in reference to the comments on the returns, I successfully returned 7 bottles from a 12 back and get a refund for the unopened with a $9 credit for the shipping. I don't think all bets are off if you drink more than two from the case, It just reduces the refund you might get.

I thought the Better Half Pinot was awful.

I think a few people did because I unfortunatly ended up with three bottles of it in a salvation case I ordered!

The Better Half Pinot was awful. Sent mine back after giving some honest feedback to VM. Sorry if you got it George :)

All good, at the risk of annoying the return karma gods, what I did was add these to the rest of the half case I had of the better half Pinot that I went halves with someone else in and sent them all back.

There fault for hyping up an awful wine and pulling the wool over the eyes of customers.

I'm looking at this case, too. Can anyone comment on the typical value of the Vinomofo mixed cases?

What do you mean by 'value'? Vinomofo RRP value? The premium Vinomofo charges to make up these mixed packs?

Yup - Good question - I should have better defined the term. I guess the number one "value" is the space saved in my rickety old Queenslander in not having to order a case of a single 12!! However, in this instance I really meant does the premium charged by Vinomofo generally remain cheaper than other (high street) retailers.

Thanks!

Does anyone have a view on the VIM Sensi Brunello. Good year (2010) and what looks to be a good entry level price for Brunello. Any insights appreciated

It's a shame that two of these are also in the current premium reds black market mixed pack posted by mavis recently. Otherwise - I think I would be tempted to buy both! Obviously buying two mixed packs with the same bottles isn't ideal.

I wasn't aware that VM charged a premium?!?

By my calculations, the premium on the mixed case that mavis posted the contents of is 40 cents, or 3.33 cents per bottle. I don't know if it's always so reasonable, but in this particular case I'd say they're doing the right thing. And of course it's in their interest, because you're much more likely to buy a whole case of something you've actually tried two bottles of. On balance I'd say that's quite a tempting case. Unfortunately *everybody* has been tempting me lately (EOFY of course) so I think I'm going to have to give this one a miss.

Also for lurkers and new members, the Jack Estate 2013 shiraz is back up for $9.50/bottle.
in my opinion my <$10 wine of the year from the Fo' so far. it's relatively young but that big beautiful full body of rich chocolate plums and red cherries, intense but young with a slight acidity that will only develop over the next few years into a beautifully layered wine. but in my opinion its a beautiful rich full body quaffer to get you through the winter months. Plus for the shallow the labels covered in gold stickers so it'll impress even the biggest snobs in the room.

forever over .05,
Mavis.
