Today's 2012 Black Market pinot blend is the 2012 Thousand Candles...

75% Pinot 20 % Shiraz and 5% Sav B (I believe). Has many more great reviews than the 2011 version. Cross-checked the wnie and description with a previous Vinomofo page for confirmation.

$35 per bottle down from $100.

Just received 2013 EPIC BAROSSA VALLEY SHIRAZ by Hungerford Hill.They really sold me on this one with all their marketing lingo (A little dissapointed as I thought it would be a big name) as I cant even find a review on the wine.

Just so you aware this was the Monday Houdini special for $300

The bottle is going for $120 on the Hungerford Hill website so it actually is quite a saving.

Has anyone tried it?

HH are a pretty 'big name'.

Halliday has some tasting notes on Wine Companion. And previous vintages have got some awards. Open a bottle and try it, that would be the best review

EDIT: Disregard the awards, that was for the vintages when it was coming from the Hunter.

Let us know how it is, their Gundagai shiraz got great reviews here, so be interested to see what they can do with fruit from the Barossa and if it justifies a $100 price tage

Pretty sure this is Prancing Horse Estate. Judging by the neighbouring Paringa Estate and Montalto offerings from that vintage, this might be well worth a look

Appears to be Elgee Park Family Reserve? RRP is only element difficult to match but is ball park. A 6yr chardy for $20aint bad.
