Vinomofo Wine Deals

Ditto I've always been very happy to buy this anyway, but at VM discount - like a flash. I'd say it drinks more like semillon rather than pinot gris (or grigio :)). Think very dry, tart, crisp & refreshing. Don't expect any floral, rose or gooseberry notes ... By the way, if they do the Tahbilk Marsanne again, jump in if you like this crisp, lean style. Though this will age gloriously in the vein of Riesling.

Which Tahbilk Marsanne are you referring to?

If you're referring to the vertical 6 pack, this was available direct from Tahbilk as a 12 pack (two of each), for around twice the VM price (less as a new account with $25 credit). Not sure if it's still available.

It was when I looked the other day. It makes the VM 6 pack vertical look like a rip off.

Thanks Detectable Blue. So the Fox Gordon is good?

Any ideas what this is?

BLACK MARKET DEAL McLaren Vale Shiraz 2014

I liked it so much I just ordered another 2 cases. Others here have also enjoyed it. Here are my tasting notes:

Wow, what a fabulous cabernet. Very deep in colour, with wonderful complexity and perfect balance. Perfectly ripened cassis and violets on the front palate giving way to a wonderland of complex savoury flavours on the back palate - tobacco, tar, bay leaf and burnt cedar all mingle in a seamless combination. The exceptionally fine grained tannins, barely perceptible. Faultless. I don’t recall ever having tasted such a well composed cabernet at such a young age. Utterly spellbinding. 97 Points on CT from me.

Sorry I don't know about the shiraz.

DB, many thanks. Great description => Boom
