Vinomofo Wine Deals

Silly question time :). I have searched but couldn't find a post tying Hannah's Swing to the VM listing directly.

Is it this one? Details seem spot on.

Thanks in advance

Jumping on the bandwagon with this one, seem to have favorable reviews so why not. :)

Sorry if this one has already been covered off guys,

But does anybody have any ideas what this is?

If I recall, 2011 was either a very good or very bad year for the Hunter, though it doesn't necessarily say Hunter, just NSW.

Nothing in Wine Companion matches $50 and 94 points from Hunter Valley

Browsing around the other NSW regions, there's one from Mudgee that seems to match: Robert Stein Vineyard Reserve Mudgee Cabernet Sauvignon, except VM says "40 year old vines" and WC says "85 year old vines".

I suspect WC meant 35yo vines in 2011, Steins first plantings were Shiraz in 1976.
The wine scored 88pts on The Wine Front.

That's what it looked like to me.

Just came to search the thread to find out how the previous vintage fared with the group ;)

Hi All. Yep 1000 candles, though it was $45 earlier ... FYI it was also featured in salvation cases shortly thereafter. Which may say something about the polarised views abut this one? I really like it but I guess the fact I'm on the fence about snapping it up for $35 (of course $100 is out of the question) is a less than glowing endorsement - but I do have 5 left. Well worth a stab at this price, maybe share, maybe return to pad out another salvation ;)

I got them when it was $45 ... drank all but 1 or 2 left in the rack ... good stuff to pair with sweetness from root vegetables (cabbage/pumpkin and the likes) along with gamey type of meat (this is not a steak wine). Gonna grab another 6 pack with now even cheaper at $35 a pop.

care to share the link for us lesser folk who aren't very important? :)

or is that no longer being done here?

I can post the VIM deals here if you guys are interested. They are usually less of a bargain and the discounts aren't as high. i.e. The St. Henri 2010 was posted as a pre-order for VIMs but the price ended up costing more than Dan Murphy's.

Today's VIM deals:
Wynns V & A Lane Shiraz 2010 - Vinomofo
Heemskerk Chardonnay 2012 - Vinomofo

btw seems i was wrong about it selling out...

thousand candles 2012 $45 - 96pts stelzer, 94pts mattinson
https://vinomofo.com/wines/red-wine/thousand-candles-yarra-valley-pinot-noir-2012

70% pinot, 25% shiraz, 5% sauvignon blanc

this should sell out - go for it - you can always return :)
