Vinomofo Wine Deals

Anyone know what the restocked King Valley 2015 Pinot Grigio for $8 is?

And anyone tried the 3 Oceans The Rivers 2014 Rose for $8.25?

3 oceans rose is a simple, very very easy to drink great value summer wine. Sure its sweet, but not too much. I found it so easy to drink with nothing nasty about it. I prefer Grenache based roses, and this is different. I thought the 2015 grigio was gapstead....i have a case coming punting it was gapstead, as I previously bought the 2014 grigio. This 14 is beautiful. Mrs B loves it.

Randall tomich....those two names create anxiety in me, I get scratchy, creepy skin sensations, like scabies, just like a Tick Tock

All that for two words.Sorry.

I am tucking into another Tomich Pinot Noir I777 2012 and marvelling how fine this wine is. It's the best Pinot Noir I have had for under $20 a bottle - by a country mile. In fact, it's better than any I have had for under $35. It's such a shame the one below it did so badly, as the I777 is excellent even at its cellar door price.

did we ever find out what the $45 down to $13.50 full bodied, barossan 2014 shiraz is?
also wozza did you get any hints of browning in the I-777? I have one left.

Yes, the slightly brown tinge is there, but it has had no negative impact on the wine's taste, for me. Some Pinot Noirs do have that slightly brown tinge, so I didn't think anything of it until you mentioned it. The wine is clear and not cloudy. It has got a little browner since the first of the 12 bottles, so it is getting it's middle aged paunch. But I only have 2.5 bottles left, so I am not fussed. As you said previously, there is probably a year or so left in it. Personally, I will be drinking them as my mid-weekers before Christmas, catching them at this point rather than on the lower end of their decline. I won't be leaving them for another 12 months.

Just had another red from the Ace Pack (August 2015):

Jeanneret Cabernet Sauvignon Malbec 2013 Westward We Went

What an excellent mid-week drinker. It needs some time to open, not surprising given the varieties and age. It went from GI Jane meets Ribena on first opening to High Tea with Helen Mirren on the second night! [First impressions aren't what they seem when it comes to young Aussie wines, it would appear.] It's a very classy, smooth affair, with lovely red and black fruits (not much else though), and a medium length finish.

It's perfect for the discerning vino consumer monster, like me, created by the ridiculous deals of the Fo. There's no way I would have purchased this wine, absent the Ace Pack, but glad I did. If it comes up separately, I might buy a six pack to help wind down after the commute.

3.5 Vivino stars from me

Anybody else rate this one? Or even others in the Ace Pack?

My broker convinced me to buy a couple of cases last week. Will crack one and report back.

Yes. Put Forest Hill into the search box at top right of page, and you'll get a list of some of the wines from them that have been offered. Why do you ask?

Thanks - I really struggle with the search feature on this site. Might be because I mainly use my phone.

I was just asking because I'm a fan of their wine. One of my favourite restaurants stocks the forest hill broker Shiraz and it's a great wine.

I am pretty confident you will not be disappointed, Amaroo. Just give it an hour of airing before you enjoy. Please let us know what you think. The more reviews the better informed we all are. Enjoy ...

I bought a case off the back of your recommendation. Great drop for the price paid, if Cab Malbec is your thing.

Is this confirmed with VM? Previous vintage was advertised as $30 down to $13.50. Interesting that they've put the RRP up by $45. No mention of this vintage on their website.

Cant be the McGuigan Shortlist as it looks like it been relisted ....

It's a cracker. I am drinking the remains of a bottle I opened last night and it is really impressive. Deep fruit, reasonable length and keeps you coming back for more. I am eyeing it off to buy more and I still have 3/4 of a case!

He promised me a winner. TBH I didn't take notice of the name or blend  I also purchased another case of something that hasn't arrived yet - his track record is excellent.

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

I see the Sandleford Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 is a current restock:

Is this worth the 95 points from those that have tried it? Thinking about a worthy replacement for the Willy Wonka wine that will be returned soon for a credit note. Or should I save it for a better mof_ deal that is no doubt coming around the corner?

Got two cases of the Sandalford last time that it was in and for me, it is a very good wine.

Re: Vinomofo secret wine deals

I'm guessing that today's Black Market Shiraz $80 down to $29 is the 2010 Mitolo "Savitar" Shiraz. Thoughts?
