Vinomofo Wine Deals

Calm down guys, i know we all love the fo' and trust me i do too, i've referred family members and spent more than is logical in wine over the last few months.

But they're still a business, a big business, in 2014 after three years they already had 30,000,000$ in revenue and nearly a quarter of a million members. and that was a year of growth ago.

I'm sure Vinomofo has a very skilled team who should understand that when they release a $100 deal with little to no safeguard they should understand the cost/benefit beforehand.

i understand this won't sit well with a few but such is life..)

That's like saying 'rich people deserved to be robbed - they're rich and they have smart people who can tell them how not to'

Ripping off any business - big or small - just means other customer (or workers or shareholders) end up paying for it. So once again, your statement's pretty pathetic IMHO.

9. Promotional Codes, Competitions or Related Offers

Vinomofo reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of, or otherwise modify, suspend or cancel any promotional code, competition or related offer at any time.

Not sure if anyone has quoted this yet - but apparently they can reneg on the deal?

VM also put out those mixed cases using abbreviated descriptions from some of the black market deals, thereby effectively revealing the nature of the black market/secret deal themselves on occasion.

I would say they happily tolerate this place, as when we all decide to get on a deal, we can make them quite a bit of money quite quickly. And, they get to put up their "selling crazy fast" moniker to attract more buyers! Or am I naive and they put those up randomly?

"i didn't really do anything, just set up a new account using my partners details, if she did it herself it there would have been no issue anyway."

What you did was describe in detail the steps you took in order to defraud the system here. Over and above the clear ethical considerations, It's really not cool to post about it. That compromises this thread.

Re: Mitolo Cantiniere

The expected delivery date for my case of Mitolo is delayed from 9 Oct. to 12 Oct. It seems that VM is now selling wine futures! :D

The expected delivery date for my case of Mitolo is further delayed to 15 Oct., it seems that VM is processing the whole lot of 500 cases! :D

And they've been politely told NO.
I think that's slightly different though. They were asking AFF to enforce their T&C's as I remember and its clearly not AFF's responsibility to do so.

I also would suggest having Terms and Conditions and enforcing themselves are not one and the same. There are plenty of promos that appear on this forum where it is clear that companies are not enforcing their T&C's in all cases but they clearly want to retain the right to do so (possibly in the more egregious cases only).

But more interestingly for this blog, every Fo member - every one - must not publicly reveal a black market or contraband deal. That's one of their most important rules of membership. I am guessing this has been discussed previously. It's interesting for me, as they know I blog on this site and they know who I am. I suspect this is the same for many others. So I am guessing they are turning the other cheek - maybe because many of us our their loyal and happy purchasing customers.

They are quite tolerant in enforcing that rule, they must see how much quicker an offer sells if some people can work it out and tell others. I don't personally know of anyone who has had membership cancelled for that reason. It's part of their assurance to the producers they convince to offer these "secret" deals.

They have in the past asked me not to post the identities publicly and I mostly don't. But they know they get a shed-load of orders from me and my Forum members (but probably even more from members/visitors here) so they never complain about posting there. They no longer have a subscription that I am aware of, but I'm sure they know what happens there, there are other wine industry members and others who occasionally pass on information or complain to producers/wholesalers about prices offered by VM and sometimes other merchants.

They obviously visit here, but other than ask nicely not to do it, what can they really do?

....what can they do indeed.....watch their sales go thru the roof......
Cabernet 2014......barossan.....two girls on a motorcycle is an interesting and beautiful picture.....as they pass the swing saying goodbye to the many uncles, this seems a great foxy deal.....do we concur?

First time poster, long time reviewer of thread for deals :D

I'm posting because I can't find the current black market deal information in this thread.... Anyone know what the 2014 Cab Sav is ($126 per 12pk)?

I've tried a bunch of different searches and can't figure it out.

I jumped on the Mitolo because of this thread as well.... Hope it's good, a little disappointed to think they may have just made it up for Vinomofo!!

Is this the "trick it" thread now? If so, I think your references are a bit obvious!

On VM. I think they want to keep the producers happy by saying they have these T&C's in place and making "visible" efforts to show they are attempting to enforce but in reality they are far from devastated by the publicity!

A new Premium Yarra Valley 2013 Shiraz deal...like the Mitolo deal..no rating?

I am sensing more caution this time. It says $50 from the winery, so in theory it ought to be available for purchase at that price and we ought to be able to find a landing page (although not all wineries have a page for every wine they sell). But it's going to be needle in the haystack time given the deliberate lack of information - we've got the general wine region, the grape, the old vines, the iconic winery, the ABV, and screw cap to go on.

And if its a one off for the Fo, then very hard. Umm ...

I'm going to break my usual rule and let the cat out of the bag as I think VM have been a bit dodgy/careless with this one.

One of my members has managed to identify it as Warramate, assumed to be their White Label Shiraz. VM have had Warramate wines before.

Warramate is associated with Yarra Yering apparently, purchased by them in 2011, but kept separate, hence the "iconic" bit by association, Warramate dates from 1970, the Warramate site is essentially defunct and they are 4 stars under their own listing. I see VM have quickly removed the 5-red stars claim, presumably originally attributed from the Yarra Yering association.

A bit concern on VM making up new wines with wineries' left over.
Trying to research more information on Haselgrove batch 187 shiraz purchased a few weeks back, only to find the trademark "batch 187" was lodged by Haselgrove this May. :(

Have fun navigating Warramate site. :)
