Vinomofo Wine Deals

Are you sure it wasn't Eight Uncles? I did pick up Eight Uncles for about that price earlier in the year.

I think the poster corrected themselves later. Was either a broker mistake or the 8 Uncles for sure, given the 2 shiraz varieties we know they've sold.

Wouldn't mind trying the 8 Uncles, but it doesn't appear to be listed anymore. Did people enjoy it?

I'm looking for a new quaffer, dozen under $150. I have enough whites, better quality reds and am not too keen on Pinot. What do people recommend out of the shiraz, cabernet or blends on the site?

Comes down to personal taste really. For your budget, I'd grab a black market since it's 70% off so you should get a decent wine. Then aim for 2012 (safe bet), and find one that appeals. Cheers!

Most of the black markets in the price range dont have any reviews attached so its basically buying blind. If anyone has bought some and can vouch for the quality (even if it is only their opinion) it would help in making up my mind. I dont really need anything but i have some credits burning a hole in my pocket so if i dont see anything i like right now im happy to hold off

I give up. Good luck.

i bought the 38bucker vic cabernet and gave one to my work colleague....he loved it....i gave his a glenlofty shiraz and he nearly cried when the last glass was over....based on his similar taste likes to me, and considering i have not had one of the remaining 11, simply based on that quality assessment, i bought the 38bucker vic chardonnay.. do i knwo if it comes from the same place...which place???....i don't really care..........now rawlex, tell me how on earth you could possibly go wrong with any wine that sells for over thirty bucks that you are buying for somewhere between 8 and 12 ? you damn well cannot, since you can ring the VM's and credit it. i dont work for them , i just buy a lot from them for work mates, family members and others. as electrotek said before he went running for the diazepams and lorazepams, stick to 2012, 2013 and 2014 and you will get a great wine. pick your regions as you desire. however, if you are getting a cabernet that's normally over 30, you know it will be very good. i have just in the past month bought a few in the VM twenty dollar region. This was probably double my VM buying price, but once again, i have not been disappointed. In fact, some have been rippers .the gsm from w.a. was a real beauty, but i think that was about a tenner, sorry for that, but the the reserve w.a. shiraz was very good, and the fifty bucker pinot down to 15 from adelaide hills was exquisite....it's bloody easy to buy something you will like. It's bloody hard to stop doing it. To that point, I have a six month hiatus from any plonk purchases. Cheers everybody.

i don't think so...but i must mention something has just cropped up in the last few minues which you will get a kick from .....this is called marketing.....as you know i had the tomich hill regular black old now label pinot 2012 recently-2 botts-bloody sensational stuff. Now the tomich's make a flagship wine, a pinot in fact, called the i-777. this baby was selling for fifty bucks a week or so ago. Fifty bucks is worth it for the quality i tasted, a real fine wine and a keeper. for fifteen bucks, even better ! Not so sweet, but complex. Well, i just went to the Tomich website and guess what, the i777 is now a sixty bucker pinot..........it would wanna be good folks !!!! Rhetorically I ask.......
