Its sadder when an aircraft has to be destroyed under contractual obligations to do with their nuclear capability, such as the ex USAF F111G's at AMB in open storage, rather than become static displays.

Indeed it would be preferable for common sense to prevail. Surely they can be prepared for static display in a manor/form that ensures any previous nuclear capability is not able to fall into the wrong hands.
