Velocity to partner with 7-Eleven

Linked my Velocity account this morning and bought a $1 coffee about 8:30am - two posts this evening, one for 2 points and one for 711 points. Nice and quick.

Tried to download app. Phone wasn't compatible (Samsung A5).

What kind of nonsense is this? Or am I just a dinosaur?

I have 6 family VFF accounts. I think I will go down there with a Jerry Can and fill it with 1/2 a litre then go pay for it. Then go outside and repeat the process with all accounts whilst logging out/in with the new account.

Yes, a sad way to earn 4266 points but for 20 mins better than a poke in the eye. My wife thinks I'm nuts.
Most eastern Aust states have a lot of 7-11s a shortish distance apart.
No harm in trying your trick, but try not to make it too obvious.
You dont want the clerk to call the cops because of your odd behavior, worst if at nights!

I'm not sure the plod would be too concerned. I'd explain to the attendant if asked encouraging him or her to get on board.

Your wife's right😄

I'd rather the poke in the eye ;)

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Actually the app is pretty good. I like how all three are linked to the one barcode in the app, the 7/11 own rewards, velocity and this fuel lock.

Fuel lock is pretty nifty. Had no idea such thing existed and it’s cheaper than everyone else. Looks like they will be getting some business out of me.

I hope they do bonus points offers and so on.

@Fifa mentioned this offer / partnership yesterday when I was in Bne and lamented unleaded petrol there was $1.26 / L cf to $1.60 + in Sydney. Downloaded the app and locked in the fuel at $1.26 / L to use when I fill in my car in Sydney later this week :) and will get a bonus 711 Velocity points.

It may or may not be possible to virtually fly yourself around the country for this exact purpose.

Got the 711 points on same day as a purchase.

tried to get my son velocity card on the app (temp change from mine), but can't verify his email as he far too young to have a mobile device, need to verify your email on the device in which the app downloaded on.
Using Gmail & I found it impossible to open his email on my mobile as he's under Family Link, have downloaded & reloaded that app to no avail.
Not important, just mentioned it anyway.

Further to my earlier post points have already posted to my Velocity account. 41 points for the petrol, plus 711 bonus points. Happy.
Points post within 6 hours pretty good . Start my $1 coffee today let see how long before point post .

fuel still at BP for me with $10 back offer until 6th June

Dropped into one of their convenience stores yesterday (so no petrol). Points took 6 hours to post.

Filled up yesterday afternoon, and the points came through this morning 789 (711 + 78).

I'm going to guess the chances of winning this are quite high, I can't imagine many have linked their 7/11 app and made a purchase between last Thursday and now.
At least that makes better odds for me, in the competition :)
