TV series discussion {'ware Spoiler Alert}

Just finished it and I am crying😢
Just finished it as well. I didn't think it was going to bring me to tears, but it did. I'm going to miss them all. Neil's resilience and capacity to find meaning and joy in his life is inspiring.
The criticism of Michael Apted's approach to the series was interesting and of course one not shown whilst he was alive.

One episode into 'Unfamiliar' on Netflix. German series / spies / violence/ subterfug, etc... Early to tell if it has the legs yet.
Worth watching. Subtitles disappear too quickly is my only complaint but perhaps I am not reading fast enough.

Now on to season 4 of The Diplomat.

We watched the first episode the other night. It promises so much but often is very frustrating with the by play between the two main players. However episode 2 will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

I watched the first 2 episodes today. Agree that the by play between the two main characters is frustrating.

Hopefully there is another series....

Watched the programme about John Clarke on abc iview. John Clarke, Thanks for Your Time. Can't believe it is nearly 10 years.
Sam Neil also featured along with of course Bryan Dawe, Gina Riley and others, what a shame, such a talented person.

Bryan Dawe reflects. Bryan Dawe breaks his silence on the death of his friend John Clarke

John Clarke was brilliant. The Games series seemed to predict all the impending failures of the actual 2000 games before they happened prior to opening.

Finished watching Star City on Apple TV+. Expanding the For All Mankind universe, Star City takes us back to the key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race that started it all - when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon. This time, we see the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program, and the risks they all took to propel humankind forward.

Really good series and looking forward to subsequent seasons. Not crucial to have watched For All Mankind first, but it is helpful for context and contrast.

Joanna Lumley, Danube. ABC, most enjoyable, she is a good host.

Meanwhile series 2 of Patience has been testing mine..... Also ABC.

Who knew she could speak German so well? And the German nun in-charge of brewing beer was quite humerus when she described that beer makes you more beautiful, though she is unsure how much you need to drink.
