Hmm.... I wonder how far 1,000,000 Velocity points will take me?

Hmm - its free to join so it must be worth 2 mins of my time. I might have a couple of virgin atlantic flights next year - not sure if the points would be transferrable into the velocity program :/

Edit

terms and conditions said:
There are 7 prizes that all entrants are eligible to win. The first valid entry drawn will win 1 x 1,000,000 Velocity Points valued at up to AUD$8,000 (when redeemed on Virgin Blue fares. The next 2 valid entries drawn will each win 500,000 Velocity Points valued at up to AUD$4,000 (when redeemed on Virgin Blue fares). The next 4 valid entries drawn will each win 250,000 Velocity Points valued at up to AUD$2,000 (when redeemed on Virgin Blue fares). Total prize pool value is up to AUD$24,000.00
Not sure how they value the 1,000,000 points so low - if it is 8 economy return tix to europe - thats about $16,000 surely?

I saw a doco on TV last week about Virgin Galactic and they stated that they were thinking of offereing people to use VS 2,000,000 points for a trip into space. Worth while I think.

So 1,000,000 will get you out to space. Just need to get another 1,000,000 for the return journey :)

You mean I'm not going to win the Priscilla Outback Experience?

This is already listed on the Virgin Atlantic site, but they state only miles earned flying Virgin Atlantic can be used for this award.
