Shocked and sad as we go back 20+ years and I’ll have stories to share later.

We’d better make him “in memories” handle.

May he forever be Copper (his attendance at a function, we could never be sure do we made him Copper ).

I was only able to attend a few Melbourne AFF functions, but Penegal still remembered me. He was great to chat with. His AFF posts were interesting and informative. I loved reading his banter with other forum members.

Im shocked...I think ive known him since around 2006 or so. I remember fondly when he left his shoes in my hotel room in Melb! RIP mate!

Condolences to his family

I have just spoken to Penegal's sister and she's absolutely devastated, just heartbroken. I can't even imagine how his parents must be feeling right now.
All I can say at this stage is that Penegal apparently pased away peacefully in his sleep.
I'm terribly saddened that I will not see Penegal again. He was such a good friend, always generous, never once said I don't have time for you now, I'll talk to you later.
Penegal, you will be missed more than I can put into words. Fly high my dear friend, forever Copper.

One of the first AFF I’ve met and I’m absolutely shocked and devastated by the news. He would always be remembered as someone who is extremely generous, funny and smart. RIP Penegal
