lol

I'd love to know what they've changed to break it.
Maybe adding in hong kong to the website.

I sent a Direct Message via twitter on Monday asking them why the delays with points/status credits. Got the following response a few hours later;

"We have just been advised that the delayed accrual issue has now been rectified. I do hope this is the case for your next flights"

lol Despite evidence to the contrary, they claim the problem is fixed.

Well it may be fixed for flights taken after the date of their post, but I think we are all in agreement that they haven't caught up the backlog yet....which is far more important!

I'm waiting for flights both pre and post that date.

The reply to my twitter DM (prompted by this discussion, today) is to wait 14 days for domestic VA flights where the velocity number has been added to the booking. I'm not feeling that it's a good fix.

Everybody who has reported they have gone and done a retro claim (me included) has had satisfaction within 48 hours (flight posting - albeit it the sample size isn't great and not sure on International flight, think most if not all were Domestic VA flights). Don't wait for VA's bot to finally work, give them a push fair up the circuits....

I recently took a few DL flights around the US and noticed they all credited two days after flying!!

I'm waiting for HA flights to credit from several weeks ago...guess it will happen eventually.

I know that I can force the system to work, I have discussed my experience doing that up thread. But that is not a fix.
Perhaps having to wait 14 days for flights to credit is now the virgin service standard.

Mine for VA7 BNE-LAX and VA8 LAX-BNE were within 48hrs when I did the retro claim.

Re: Posting of points

So theres go my theory it was just an issue in the month of May. My flight last Friday 9th June, still hasn't posted.

SC's came in this morning, so 7 days after flight, and 48hrs after submitting a claim.

Re: Posting of points

Maybe VA are running short of cash and using this as one way of conserving cash:

- now that Velocity is a separate company with a minority shareholder, it's bank account is separate from Virgin's
- Virgin has to pay Velocity for the points
- by delaying posting, Virgin keeps their cash in their bank account for longer.

This is the sort of nonsense which airlines in cash difficulties do.

I hear you loud and clear - perhaps Supersonic Swinger's comment has legs :shock:

Flew 11th, posted 16th but without platinum bonus points for some reason.

Flew 8/6, which posted today but still waiting on flights from 7/6 and 12/6. All VA domestic sectors booked on the VA website. Online retro claim says 'the points have already posted' for one and 'error' for the other. What a mess!

Getaway fare?

Turns out so. Hadn't realised it was, and had forgotten about the lack of bonus on getaway.

I'm waiting for my return flexi to post, but it looks suspiciously like I've been screwed.

I often fly out saver and back flexi, but points are always posted equal for both legs and they just divide total fare in 2 for calculating. It looks like this will still occur, but as my outbound fare was probably $300 but my inbound $650, I'm being under bonused. In future I'll have to book legs individually which is a PITA.
