Travelling from Australia to the United States of America is about to reach a new level of convenience with the beginning of V Australia’s expanded partnership with Delta Air Lines, this Sunday 6th of November 2011.
This means that from Sunday, there will be a greater variety of arrival and departure times to choose from when arranging trans-Pacific travel. For members of Virgin Australia’s loyalty program Velocity, it also means more opportunities to accrue frequent flyer points and access premium lounges.
What’s more, from Sunday all V Australia flights to Los Angeles will arrive at Delta’s T5 terminal at Los Angeles International Airport. This will allow for easier and faster connections within the same terminal to Delta’s network as well as access to new customs and immigration facilities in the T5 terminal.
To celebrate this convenience and more options for your travel with us, V Australia and Delta Air Lines, are giving members of the Australian Frequent Flyer community the opportunity to win 1 x return Business Class ticket to New York and to report back on their trip to the Australian Frequent Flyer community.
That's right, we are asking one of the AFF collective to fly, Business Class to LA with V Australia, experience the new T5 Delta terminal and then fly either First or Business Class with our alliance partner Delta onto New York.
"Why would they give away a flight just cause they changed terminals?" we hear you ask?
Well, frankly, who better than an Australian frequent flyer to experience the change in flying conditions and report back to the AFF community?
This terminal change is just another move that we have brought about this year designed to make the flying experience easier for the frequent flyer. Much like our other time saving initiatives, and as such to enter, tell us in 100 words or less:
Of all the time-saving processes Virgin Australia has implemented this year, which has saved you the most time and why?
Entries will be judged on writing skills as well as product knowledge. Also you will have to be a AFF member to be eligible.
To enter and for more details, visit the competition website here
We are pretty excited to offer up the opportunity to you all.
Thanks again for your support.
Note: The prize doesn't include accommodation, so the winner will have flexibility to stay in the US as long as they like, with the travel period being 15 Jan 2012 – 15 Apr 2012.
Note: We have contacted the AFF, and they have approved this post. The Australian Frequent Flyer has no financial interest in this offer and will not be involved in the invitee selection process.
