Sorry @alsl2246

I have edited my previous post

The A350-1000 will have 12 rows of QSuites but the A350-900 with QSuites have 9 rows.

The picture you show suggests its not QSuites. I believe Q Suites will show a staggered map.
If your flight is not QSuites then perhaps try to avoid row 6 as that that is the row immediately in front of the lavatories and the bar.

The upside is that its is very likely that the seat maps will change once the suggested Q Suites for QR915 becomes a reality. Announcements by airlines are not something anyone can usually rely on.

One question though, on the itinerary it says that the aircraft for Adelaide - Doha leg is A350-900 but Qatar website says that Adelaide to Doha(QR915) will have Q-Suite available from 16th of June 2019. Does that mean the aircraft will Change to A350-1000 down the line? Or are they introducing Q-Suite on A350-900 as well?

From the look of the seat plan, maybe it’s not QSuites, but this is quite dynamic as they implement them, so my advice is just hang loose.

I'm on QR915 ADL-DOH on 2 July, A350-900, and it has (or is promising :) ) Qsuites.

But on the date of your flight, Expert Flyer shows the same non QS map as you have shown, even though its still designated a A350-900. Don't know what's happening there.

Only some A350-900 will have QSuites.
Yes, thats the "staggered" seat map look of QSuites.

@RooFlyer
I reckon there will be some surprises when the passengers turn up on the day. The couples (assuming they are) who chose 1EF, 5EF, 7EF will be facing backwards.
And 1A as well.

Hi all,

Can anyone help me with Qatar availability, booked using QFF points?

I am trying to secure 2 business class seats from ADL to Rome (FUC) via Doha around 21st May 2020.

I have been stalking the award availability for months and while it seemed as though flights were released at least 297 days out I can now not see any past 31st March (229 days). There is a large amount of availability in March, then a black hole for about 2 weeks, then only economy.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Should we continue to wait? If so, for how long?

We are travelling for our wedding and have been saving our points to allow us to fly business in the Qsuites, so this is pretty dissapointing!

School holidays and Easter 10APR-27APR might have a lot to do with it...

Thanks Frankie. I did think that, but thought that it would be OK by the end of May?

We have a bit of flexibility in the days that we travel, and whether we depart from another city but theres nothing available...

Agree - I have recently had to try getting seats PER-LHR in September this year when my wife accepted a late invitation to speak in London for a couple of days late in the month, which is also school holidays, and it was quite noticeable how many days either side of the designated dates for the holidays were also an award free zone. Luckily her fare is paid, but I eventually got J seats on EY SIN/LHR return, so I will be at LHR when she arrives a few hours later. Being WP she was able to get QF to open some J seats for the PER/SIN return legs, but the points were about 80K, and the fees were $800+, so I just took the hit and paid for economy for those legs. Best of luck with your search.

Thanks Franky. I am still considering holding off as long as possible just in case some flights are released, but am not sure if I am just fighting a losing battle if they will never actually be released :/ Such terrible timing! At least I can probably ease up on the daily checking and regain some sanity!

I booked QR business class flights to/from Europe for May 2020 in May this year. Seats were being released around 360ish days out, at GMT.

Some availability from SIN on the 20th in QSuites if it is any help

Ah that's dissapointing! My inexperience had me waiting until 297 days (silver QFF), not realising that partner airlines were released earlier.

I'll definitely check out the singapore flights - that might be good enough! Thanks Jase05

Hi all, I have been trying to book MXP-DOH-HKG for 4xJ on QR for April 2020 using QFF points. QFF and BA both show 4xJ award seats on the flights I want. However, they are not bookable online. I then called QF, and all went smoothly until they told me DOH-HKG only has 2 seats.

The good thing is QF sympathise my situation and is willing to send a request to QR to see if they can release the 2 phantom seats.

It has now been a week and qf still has no response from Qatar.

There seem to be many phantom DOH-HKG flights.

Does anyone have any experience in getting QR to release seats? Does it take long?

Also, QFF said that because my booking is created in august - even if my tickets are issued after 18/9, I would still be on the current redemption rates. Hope this is true.

We commence award flights using Qantas points out of Asia as they are too stingy in making J seats available long haul out of OZ unless you have high status, once in Asia there are a plethora of OneWorld airlines to choose from and the fees are low too.
