Good links, thanks serfty.
Priceline has a tab for Canada as well. Expedia didn't but if you enter a Canadian location it comes up with the goods.
Wotif is no good beyond three months it seems so I'll have to try later (Sept trip).

In any case this will be very handy for THE trip.

When you visit Expedia (which is really good, by tyhe way), be sure to follow the link to Hotwire "for even greater bargains". I have made some excellent purchases of hotel rooms and rental cars through Hotwire.

I agree you can get some good deals through hotwire (good to go on the better bidding site for info on what hotels are being offered and what people have got). I have also got some good deals through travelzoo (links to promo codes direct with hotels) and quikbook dot com (I cant post links yet!) also have some good specials. If you are heading to vegas, fatwallet dot com updates all promo codes available, although posters on the Vegas forum of tripadvisor always list the new offers, last year we got the Bellagio for 5 nights with a free upgrade to a lakeview room for $139 a night. When we go to the US we usually book direct with the hotel as if the rate falls (which it usually does) they always drop the price for you (we are heading to Honolulu in a couple of months staying at the Outrigger price has dropped from $249 when originally booked and is now down to $159 per night).
