According to Trump at his press conference, he did not need to talk about the effects on the economy. Very short words, it’s all going to be fine. Some may have found more confidence useful rather than what was mostly a political rally oppo. That will not help with the economy strangulation.

I suggest that the Coronavirus is an opportunity made in heaven for the Democrats.
Trump and his team are (arguably ) poorly equipped to deal with something that may build into a humanitarian crisis, especially in the 3rd world.
The dems could cause huge damage to the Republican bluster by presenting an ordered and caring plan for action.
Sadly , the US left now appears inoculated with shallow populism which, combined with characteristic blinkered idealism , will allow the right unfettered scope to make whatever it can of the crisis.

Joe Biden is the big winner of the South Carolina Democrat primary, breathing life back into his presidential campaign.

The major US networks called the race for Mr Biden based on the exit polls.

My take on the hoax comment was just adding more fuel on the Dem's for any old reason i.e just plain 101 political tactics

Yes the Democrats are very on topic with the corona virus.Despite what you think trump moved early on closing borders and getting Americans back from China.So the Democrats called him Xenophobic and racist for overdoing things.Now of course they have done a 180 and using everything to try and give the impression he has not done enough.

One thing I hate about Trump is that he’s such a binary figure. For those who love him he can never do anything wrong. For those who hate him he can never do anything right. The truth is he does some things well, some things OK, some things poorly and some things despicably. If you can’t see that, irrespective of whether you like or loathe him, more fool you.

Possibly money related - bit of a shame that he pulled out of the race though, I think we will see him in a future race at some point, unlike the rest of the field who are really pretty much at the end of their careers, in that this will be a last roll of the dice for most of them. (except for Amy Klubachar?)
