I'm surprised you've been able to do a transfer, purchase of miles doesn't even work in the first 12 days so don't know how you got the miles in the first place?![]()
Dunno, it just worked.

Agree, Shayne's problem was not the sharing part of the transaction. US would be on very dodgey grounds publishing an offer which specifically says you can share with family and friends and then penalising someone who did exactly that. So I don't expect any problems with that bit of the transaction, who you actually book for they may look closely at.The formula was given by another user a few pages back.
Im slightly concerned but we're not talking about huge amounts of money or points (for me). The accounts are me and 3 family members. The share offer encourages sharing between family and friends.
When booking, each person will have their own points in their own account and book and pay for their own flights. No booking for friends from my account.
Guys,
Has anyone been sucessful in sharing A>B and back to A? Fom what I can see it would be ok.
36,000 left in mine, share to the lady and then back. This is feasible correct?
And me, of course I don't know if US have me on a watchlist as a result but this is perfectly legitimate in terms of their advertised rules for the share.Yes, done successfully.
Hmmm did a share from 2 separate accounts (my wifes and mine, with 2 different credit cards) on Friday evening and still hasn't shown up (or been taken out of our accounts) and it's over 72 hours....
If you haven't received the e-mail from points.com saying it's been done, then the points won't have shown up. Give it till tomorrow and then try contacting them I'd say.
Thanks. Haven't received an email. Any specific number to contact or just a general USDM number?
I did a share early Saturday morning and it hasn't processed yet either. I'm hoping it's just because of the weekend.

Mine continue to be shared in the afternoon, approved at midnight the next night.
I think 3 shares have been this same time.
So ahh, anyone received their share yet?
Mine normally get approves just after midnight, but its past 72 hours now.
If takes any longer, its going to mess up my share train! Parents might miss out on their miles!!
Can anyone confirm if a share transaction is initiated on the 31st, but not actually processed until the 2nd or 3rd Nov, that bonus miles will still be receieved?
Suggest you take a screen shot to be sure though if any questions arise. In my experience yes as long as it's in by 31st (US Mountain Time) then it's gonna be fine. Of course you'd get it processed only after that, in my case it took almost a week for it to come through.
