Yes, but if you don't already have miles, you might just tee up an arrangement with another AFF'er (or whoever) that does have at least 50k miles and then reciprocate the share once you've received the 100k.

This is great news, I did buy a few in the buy round (12+12k) and a small no of lifemiles to get the 500 bonus (5+5k). I thought that 75% bonus would be the best we would get so 100% is one I will look to maximise. Now I need to work out the best way to maximize across my 5 family account, believe each can receive 50k points.

... any kind soul needing a trading partner who like to share miles with a newbie? My account is zilch... having missed out on the last buy offer just finished due to the 12-day new account lockout period (still have 10 days to go). Obviously will send 50k back so we all benefit.

I heard in one of the threads about something to do with mile's not being transferred due to different surnames of the account holders... is that an issue generally? (I have opened an account for my GF as well, so good to know for future reference)

Must be a targetted offer... this time required that I log in at the "Buy Miles" screen... no offer for 100% bonus Buy (only have access to the 100% Share offer.)

Hopefully they open it back up again!

I'd also be interested in doing a share if someone wants to do a swap. Currently in the process of setting up 2 dummy accounts so that I can buy a few and then multiply it a few times but a share may be easier.

I've got an email on the buy for two accounts (possibly the other 2 in the family as well), nothing on sharing but it is definitely there when I log on. Thats amazing, a 100% SHARE promo and a buy promo at the same time, maybe its to make up for no GS 12.

Exactly - everyone has the share bonus offer, however the 100% bonus miles offer seems targeted. Myself and several friends do not have the 100% bonus whilst mum's account (never used) has the offer. Maybe buying last month worked against me LOL!!

Maybe, though I purchased last month and got the offer. Of course I did it right at the end of the month (not yet in my US Air account) so maybe not picked up by their selection process for this month.

FWIW I bought some miles on the 25th and they were deposited a day later. This may be why I was targeted.. can't complain either way.

I am getting ready to book 2 x J EU redemptions for July/August next year. So, I will need 2 x 120K points to book.

I have set up an account for myself and my partner. Until I saw this thread I was fully expecting that when the next 100% buy promo comes along (non-targeted), I will buy 50k with the bonus to get 100k, then just buy the remaining 20k at full price to get up to 120K (and reciprocate with my partners account) and then book my flights.

To ensure I dont miss out on any targeted offers because there are no miles in my account, I just bought a nominal 2,000 in each account at full price (to hopefully trigger future offers).

Now, I see that I can share those 2,000 right now and get a bonus 2,000 for only $20. My question is, can I bounce the points back and forth between the accounts (2+2, 4+4, 8+8 and so on) until each account has the 20,000 I need? Or can you only share once to get the bonus? If I can bounce back and forth till I have 20k in each, I then wait until the next 100% buy bonus, buy 50+50 for each account and there is my 120K. This seems like a cheaper option to get that additional 20K seeing as I can only purchase 50K each year with a 100% bonus.

So if A has 100,000 miles and he shares 50,000 miles each with two others, B and C, is that permissible? Or is 50,000 miles the limit of transfer by A in this promotion?
