Unable to link Complimentary lounge Invitation

I can confirm I was able to transfer passes to another AFF member this morning, after not being able to on Tuesday. It also appears I can link invitations to future flights too.

My son received an “exclusive invitation“ to purchase lounge access for his flight.

hilariously this involved Adelaide....
I get those from time to time too which is.. bizarre. It's like their CRM system isn't working quite properly to understand that with a status > Gold, lounge access is included so why offer it to me? Or would they think I am stupid enough to pay up?

(it might make some sense if I had extra pax in the booking who could not be covered by status allowance but I've never been in that situation)

Dear
We do hope this email finds you well,
Please be advised that Sydney DOM Qantas Club and Sydney DOM Business Lounge are currently close or not operating due to capacity issues and COVID-related concerns. Hence, you are unable to link your passes.
However, the lounges will be back on 19 July 2022.
As suggested by the appropriate team, you may try to link your passes after these lounges have been activated for pass linking on the said date.
We do hope we were able to assist you, and your understanding with this matter is highly appreciated.
We thank you for your continued loyalty during this time and we appreciate your patience as we continue to work and meet all requests that we are receiving.
Above all, please be safe.

Kind regards,
Lezah

I just booked a flight departing Perth next month, and it doesn't appear in the list of flights that I can link a lounge invite with.

I'm guessing that rather than showing the lounges that are unavailable in a list, they just hide them from your list of upcoming flights.

Slightly annoying since I was hoping to have a lounge visit

PSA

I have 2 flights out of Sydney in the next couple of months and both are now showing as available to link lounge invitations. Transferring invitations is also working fine - I transferred one to one of the cygnets and he transferred it back successfully.

Tried to link invitations to MEL-MCY next week, but clicking the "link invitation” link transferred me to a “Join Qantas Club” page!

That was with Safari on my Mac. Tried Chrome and everything went smoothly. I have had problems booking flights with Safari too, while Chrome worked ok. Bad website programming!

My elderly parents are flying OOL to MEL tomorrow, but I can't link the passes I gave them. Not QLD school holidays so...?

I sometimes seemed to get a redirection error in chrome, sometimes right clicking the link and opening in an incognito tab helped

If they are flying tomorrow are you/ they out site of the 24hr attachment window. Passes need to be added >24 hrs of the flight.

Could give them passes but haven't been able to link all week, doubt it was the 24 hour rule but thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the tip. Multiple failed attempts, ending up on the QC page, didn't work on safari, Chrome or edge, but did work using the Samsung browser on an old phone I had 🤣🤣🤣
I can't believe "clear your cookies" is genuine advice for such a large company, but here we are

Anecdotally I have not found the 24 hour time frame being enforced, a couple of times I have linked passes at the lounge desk

I'm flying OOL-CBR on a Sunday afternoon soon - it doesn't show me an option to link passes, yet 4 are 'available'
Any ideas?

If you've tried clearing cookies (I can't believe this is a serious suggestion), then calling the contact centre is your only recourse. Last time I had a problem they said the lounge would be available to re-link in 24 hours and I was able to do so successfully after that time (I'm not sure if they did anything or whether it was a glitch)
