Unable to link Complimentary lounge Invitation

Hi all,

I am trying to link a complimentary lounge invitation with a Qantas flight from Kalgoolie to Perth in mid April. However, when I click the Lounge Invitation tab in my account, it doesn't give me the option to link my flight to allow me access to the Kalgoorlie Qantas Club lounge. Any advice of how to solve this problem without having to call in? (I know the Kalgoorlie Qantas lounge is not the best lounge but I have a lot of complimentary lounge passes I want to use before they expire). Thanks!

Just found out at Sydney airport that lounge invitations are not accepted (which explains why they cannot be linked) at the moment. Apparently they are not accepting invitation passes until after Easter.

I was able to link lounge invitations to a JQ booking for the MEL international lounge this coming Sunday. Should I expect to get turned away at the lounge? The passes actually expire the next day.

Hopefully if you can link then you're fine. Linking my BNE-SYD was not possible on the QF webpage.

was it more than 24 hours before the flight you were trying to link them?
No it was less than 24 hours (I booked my flight less than 24 hrs). I turned up at SYD airport lounge and the Q Club front counter said passes not accepted due to Easter period.

I think the rules are you have to link your flight and lounge pass more than 24 hours before the flight so that could be the reason

Possibly can't link because of that but front counter didn't even check - just straight out said passes not accepted during this period.

I've been trying this morning to link the pass to my JQ flight which is definitely more than 24hrs from departure but all I got was "something went wrong". I think it's likely that they have shutdown the ability to link complimentary passes due to capacity limit.

What's annoying is that they just display a generic error message instead of just informing customers of the fact. I think most people would accept that the lounge is at capacity and that their lowly complementary pass would be the first to be turned away. However, putting up a generic error message makes customers think that there's some sort of system error, causing them to phone in and add to the already extremely long call wait time. I called, waited 2 hours to only be told that they don't know why I couldn't link the pass and there's nothing they could do.

I came here trying to find answers as to why I couldn't link complimentary passes today. On the page it says:
We may suspend the use of Complimentary Lounge Invitations during peak travel periods such as school holidays. During these periods, you'll be unable to link the invitation to a booking and passes will not be accepted at the lounge.
The link to associating them with a flight is also gone.

I'm flying on the 22nd so still have a few days but not getting my hopes up that this restriction will be removed. I've not seen it before. Pretty annoying really. If someone sees the restriction lift it would be awesome to get a reply :)

Yes. I think so. I couldn't link mine since it was a flight during the July holiday.

However, I went in and checked on a daily basis and one random day, I managed to see it appear. I quickly linked it up.

How to redeem a Complimentary Lounge Invitation" page on the Qantas site, but doesn't actually link anything - any ideas what could be the problem?

I have been waiting nearly 2 weeks for complimentary lounge invitations to appear in my account and Anz Bank are blaming Qantas IT issues meaning this could be a possible reason you cannot link pass to your booking.

Yeah maybe. I can at least see the invites, just nothing happens on linking. At this point even an error message would be preferable :)

I am trying to link a lounge pass to m booking for QF19 this Wednesday. Just getting an error message

I tried first to link a pass for my wife and this worked first time. Then I tried mine several times and always get this error. Current 47 hrs from flight departure.

Anyone got any ideas?

IT failure again. QF needs to invest $$$$ on the ground in customer service and IT outages.

I'm trying to link a complimentary invitation to a flight for a family member. The link is there, all prepared for linkage, but when I click it opens the Qantas Club page.

It's for Sydney QC tomorrow, so wondering if they're blocking complementaries due to long weekend. If that's the case I shall admit defeat, but currently I keep on trying...
